Bodhi quickly got to work mixing two Tequila Sunrises. He handed me a highball glass, and we clinked them together before I took a swig. Pure bliss in liquid form. “You really have a knack for concocting these cocktails,” I told him. “It’s not complicated to make a good drink,” he replied. “I guess you’ve never had a bad one before, if you can say that.” “Guess not,” he said with a shrug. Of course, someone like Bodhi would always have access to top-shelf liquor. I tried to look dignified as I guzzled down the fruity, tart beverage. Just then, his phone chimed. “Looks like our ride just arrived,” he announced. “That’s great!” I said, my excitement bubbling up. “Well, drink up,” Bodhi urged. “We need to get going. Don’t want to lose any more sunlight for the party I’ve got planned.”
