MARK I entered the bedroom, surprised to not see Adira lying in bed. I heard water running from our bathroom and wandered over in that direction. I waited a moment, but when she didn’t come out, I knocked on the door. “Come in,” Adira said in a quiet voice. I opened the door and peeked inside.
