Cabo San Lucas

1039 Words
The first trip that Professor Preston took Barbara on was a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. They went on a camel ride, ate the most delicious foods, and tasted the most exquisite tequila. When the sun went down, they boarded a boat and cruised the open waters while enjoying some hip music and delicious adult beverages. The party lasted until 3 in the morning and by that time, they couldn't wait to get back to the hotel room, where they had a little party of their own. They lay in bed until around noon and then got up and went sightseeing. They ended up in downtown Cabo San Lucas , where they met Jose, who took them on a culinary walking tour. They started off with tacos de canasta, tacos de mole, and papa con chorizo. Next, they had tacos de guisado, aporreadillo, and rajas con crema. The delicious end to the food tour was of course churros with sweet sauce. All of the food left the tastebuds in such an uproar that Barbara definitely wanted more. Upon completing the culinary tour, Barbara and Leon returned to the hotel to prepare for an evening out on the water, this time opting for a private yacht with all the amenities. Once out on the water, Leon took Barbara downstairs and showed her a good time. With the rhythmic splash of the waves and the gentle rocking of the boat, it made for an exciting adventure all in itself. Barbara immediately fell asleep afterward, as Leon cradled her head in his arms and whispered sweet nothings in her ear. When they got back to shore, Leon gently jostled Barbara awake so that they might proceed back to the hotel room to shower and rest up. The shower proved to be a steamy one and Barbara fell into bed, exhausted from all the activities of the day. She couldn't help but to wonder what adventures awaited her for tomorrow. Leon smiled, amused, as he watched Barbara sleep and listened to her murmurs as she dreamed. But when she uttered those 5 little words, his heart stopped and he wondered what secrets were hidden in her past. "No, please don't hurt me!!" Barbara cried out as if in fear, although she was definitely sound asleep. But in her dream, she was very much awake and she was scared for her life as her past came back to her. Her father had come home drunk again and he was taking it out on her and her baby sister, Emily. She threw herself over baby Emily as her father brandished a knife and swung towards her with it. She felt the knife slice into her back and winced in pain. But she dared not cry out in pain for fear that he would strike again. Hearing the pain in her voice, Leon woke Barbara up, causing her to scream. Then, she quickly apologized. "No apology necessary, my dear," said Leon. "But I would definitely like an explanation. Who hurt you so bad in your past that it would cause you to have nightmares about it? Who do I need to pay a visit to, to ensure that you feel safe once and for all?" he asked with definite concern in his voice. "No, no, nobody," she stuttered with a touch of fear shadowing her already small voice. "Nobody at all. No worries. It was just a nightmare. Let me go take my medicine so that it doesn't happen again," she said, hoping to hide the panic in her voice. If he knew the truth, she felt for sure that her father wouldn't live to see another sunset. And it would only take one phone call for him to make it all happen. Of that, she was sure. "While I don't appreciate you lying to me, I'll let it slide for now, but if it happens again, you'll be explaining and I won't be satisfied until the truth is revealed to me. And while I can't promise that I'll leave them unharmed, I will promise not to kill them. So if you're lying to me just to keep them alive, don't. Lying is one of my pet peeves," he said, rather exasperated. "Just know that if anyone tries to harm you while you are with me, it won't end too kindly for them," he proclaimed. "Ok," she said emphatically. "But if I tell you who it is, you have to swear not to send anyone after them. At least, not right now. Promise?" she asked with a touch of hope. "I promise," he said, though it hurt him to do so, as he wanted to end the life of anyone who even so much as looked the wrong way at Barbara. "OK. So when I was eight and my sister Emily was one, our father came home drunk one night from the bar. He decided to take his anger out on me and her. I threw myself over her as he whipped out a knife and he caught my back with it. I have a scar just below my left shoulder blade from that incident. Periodically, I have nightmares where I relive that night. And I guess I cry out in my sleep, otherwise, you wouldn't have known anything was wrong," she hesitantly explained. "Remove your shirt!" he commanded, anger touting his voice. She did as he asked and he ran his finger carefully down her back. When he came to the scar, he stopped and traced it delicately, noting the jaggedness and feeling her shudder. That angered him even more. How dare her father harm such a beautiful soul. Realizing that he had promised not to send anyone after him right now, Leon chose to take his anger out in a way that brought pleasure to Barbara. He carefully moved his fingers further and further down her back until he reached her legs. He buried his fingers in her fruit and sighed when he felt her begin to relax. Then, he pulled her onto his lap and gave her whatever she desired in that moment. It was then that he realized it was going to be very difficult to keep his promise to her.
