Scarlett's point of view
I was still in utter shock even though Derek had disappeared from my room about 10 minutes ago. I couldn't stop thinking about what he had said to me. I shook my head with the intention of clearing the words out of my head.
Suddenly, I remembered that I was supposed to be at work in a couple of minutes. I immediately dashed into the bathroom to take my bath and when I was done, I hurriedly got dressed. Without having breakfast, I left my small home, heading to the kitchen to resume work.
On my way to the kitchen, I couldn't help but notice the stares of other people and I couldn't blame them. I myself am still in shock that Rush chose me.
