WHEN Keycee left to check who rang the doorbell, Julian quickly threw his mango into the trash. I, on the other hand, forced myself to finish mine since I was starting to like it.
"Anyway, do you know why I came here?" Julian returned to my side, and we stood together. Ryan sat comfortably, busy with his cell phone and occasionally smiling.
"You're going to sell your car. I know," I responded.
"Besides that?" I looked at him and gave him a questioning brow. "Have you heard that she's awake?"
I stopped chewing when he said that. He spoke softly, so I knew Ryan couldn't hear us. And even though I had a hunch about who he meant, I asked to be sure. "Who?"
