I WAS ten minutes late for my first class. When I arrived, the teacher was already discussing the lesson. I quickly took my seat between Marian and Jezza.
"How are you guys?" I whispered to them, careful not to draw the teacher's attention.
"How 'bout you? You've got a lot to explain to us later," Jezza replied with a smile.
"Prepare yourself because we won't let you off the hook," Marian added with a grin, making me even more nervous. Why were they smiling like that? Had I done something wrong or suspicious?
