Chapter 2:Endless Battle

-Chapter 2:Endless Battle-

I stand next to the demon i had just killed when suddenly I hear a growl behind me and get sent flying to a nearby wall and letting go of my sword.

"Argh!," I shout in pain. as a muscular and big demon approaches me.

The demon raises it's arm and tries to punch me but i manage to dodge in time and roll away.

And with a searing pain in my back i run towards my sword and grab it but get kicked by the big demon in the process.

As i get back up. The demon tries to punch me again but I barely dodge and manage to get behind the demon.

Gripping my sword, i would slice its leg and it yells in pain,"Graaagh!" and it turns around, and swipes me away with its arm.

Getting up again, i would look at the big demon that is on its knees.

Seeing it as an opportunity, i would charge at it and get on its back. I would then slice its neck and fall down to the ground.

Watching as the big demon chokes on its blood, i would grab my sword once again and slice its entire chest.

The big demon would fall to the ground seemingly dead, When suddenly its body starts to move violently and it's soul out of its body getting sucked into my body

Surprised, i touch my body and feel stronger. Its like i absorbed it's power.

Somehow sensing something behind me, i look behind me and see a smaller demon charging at me and with my fast reflexes i kill it immediately by cutting its head off and once again it's soul comes out of its body and goes into my body.

I look at my body and see it has slightly gotten more muscular and it also seems that my senses have also been heightened maybe all my speed,reflexes,and durability have increased too....

-Some time later-

I have killed around 53 demons all by myself and my skills and power have definitely increased by alot it seems.

I would look around and see many demon bodies that i have killed, and looking behind are even more demon bodies.

Easily killing another demon that was charging at me. I would say,"And that's 54 demons that i have killed...that should be enough demons dead for me to at least be alot stronger",I would then start to walk towards the keep of the fortress where many fellow soldiers have gathered to fend off the remaining demon which is still alot of demons.

Arriving at the keep, i would see many soldiers and mages fighting off demons and seeing the many demon bodies on the ground they must have killed alot.

I would look at my sword that has worn out due to how many demons i have killed.

I would walk into the keep and a few demons on my way, walking towards the armory i would see a bunch of items like spears,swords,bows,shields, and even magic staff's

Taking a sword and a shield, i would walk to where a line has been formed to hold off the demons outside.

"Hold!!,soldiers!" one of my commanding officers would shout, using a bow to kill a few flying demons.

I look around and see my old friend sitting down near a campfire.

I would walk to him,"Hey..." I would say, slowly walking towards him. My friend would look in shock as he sees me almost entirely covered in demon blood.

"Zael?,i-i-i thought you were dead..." he says in pure shock at the situation.

"Well, As you can see i am not dead" i would say sarcastically.

"Oh...Well...Why are you covered in blo-" my friend would say before he is suddenly interrupted by a massive explosion.

I looking at where the sound of the explosion came from i would see a 37 meter tall demon breathing fire and causing massive explosions outside the keep.

I would barely hear a soldier saying, "So this is it huh!?! this is where we die!" clearly losing his hope.

"Men!, Don't lose hope. We still have a chance!" The Grand General would shout at the soldiers,grabbing his sword and killing a few flying demons.

A soldier would shout, "What do you mean!?, are you crazy! we can't kill that giant thing!" clearly in panic and despair.

Suddenly the demon starts to cast a massive fireball and shoots it at us.

I could hear soldiers screaming for their life before getting hit by the massive fireball.

Everything turns into fire before completely turning black.
