Kaida I awoke to the insistent growl of my stomach. Groaning, I rolled onto my good shoulder, clutching my belly. My body ached all over, as though I had just emerged battered and bruised from an intense battle. I noticed my surroundings were unfamiliar as I pushed myself into a sitting position, favoring my injured arm. I glanced at the wound to see that it had fully healed. Scoffing, I flexed the arm. Initially, the thought of my healing being incomplete caused me pain, but now that I confirmed my arm was in good condition, the pain vanished.
