A CHANCE TO KILL!

Renji continues to pursuit the Demon.

-Come on Touka!

We need to hurry, Kenshin shouts out as he tries to catch up to Renji.

The two of them rush through the forest, Kenshin on the ground and Touka dashing through the trees.

-That i***t! What was he thinking rushing off on his own like that, Touka shouts out as she begins to pick up her pace!

The Demon realizes it's being tailed so it slows down and readies to welcome its new prey.

Renji catches up to where the Demon should be but it's gone.

-What is it a flying type? Where the hell did it go? It's trail goes cold right here.

-Dammit I was to slow!

Dam.....

All of a sudden the bushes seem to come to life as the Demons fur shoots outward like spikes.

Renji barely evades the attack being caught off guard and gets cut right under his left eye on his cheek.

He jumps into the trees and rubs the blood off from his cheek then smiles.

-Well I thought you ran off like a coward, he says excitedly!

-Your gonna wish you did run off because now you die you DAMNED DEMON and it won't be pretty!

Renji shouts as he jumps from the tree.

His eyes turn icy blue and he slams the weighted end of his kusarisama chain to the ground.

Freeze Over, he shouts. As the impact of the chain causes the ground to freeze while shooting ice spikes upward from the ground impaling into the belly of the Demon.

Blood sprays out and the Demon collapses.

Renji lands and begins walking toward the Demon twirling his sickle over head.

The Demon looks up with its disfigured still human looking face.

It's green eyes shine in the dark and it smiles a big ugly smile.

-What the hell are you smiling at you bastard? Your about to di......

All of a sudden from below the Demons fur shoots out of the ground. Cutting Renji in the leg.

He takes to the air but as he does the Demons fur wraps around his leg grabbing him pulling him back and slamming him into the ground.

Renji yells out, Dammit now you die for sure.

But when he looks up the Demon is already hovering over him.

The blood from the Demons slit belly leaks down onto Renji.

Disgusting! You look horrible but up close you smell even worst.

All of a sudden the slit in the Demons stomach begins to mutate into a spiral mouth of sharp teeth.

The Demons fur grab onto Renji like tentacles and start pulling Renji up towards the newly formed mouth.

Slice! Slice! Slice!

The sound of a blade cutting followed by flames dancing all around the Demon as Touka suddenly appears dancing around beautifully while slashing with her short sword.

Twirling Flames, she shouts out the name of her attack.

The flames dance and twirl around the Demon engulfing it into fire.

Touka cuts the fur from Renji then leans over to pick him up.

Renji pushes her away and shouts angrily, what the hell are you doing here. I didn't ask for nor do I want or need your help.

All of a sudden the half burnt Demon is towering over both Renji and Touka with both mouths open.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Lightning Blade!

Kenshin yells out his attack and combines his wind and lightning powers into a diagonally slashing projectile attack that cuts through even the ground as it cleaves the Demons upper and lower body in half.

Zzzzzz!

The electricity sizzles.

Before the beast can fall over Kenshin suddenly appears before it cutting off its head.

Renji looks on in amazement at the incredible power Kenshin posses.

He took out the Demon with minimal effort.

-What the hell are you two doing here, Renji shouts out angrily!

-Looks to me like we were saving your ass you ungrateful i***t, Touka shouts back!

-Soooooo.

Your the Uchiha!

A voice speaks from the shadows yet to reveal itself.

-Who would have thought there were any left.

-And my, my!

-What's this?

-Hahaha!

-You shared your blood with a human!

-Haha isn't that considered to be taboo in your clan?!?

-What an interesting little plot twist.

Haha. An Uchiha sharing his tainted blood with a lowley human.

Out of the shadows ninja in black and red wearing mask that have teeth and zippers to open and close the mouth part appear.

"What the hell" Renji thinks to himself. "There ninja but I've never seen ninja like these. There uniforms are unfamiliar and there mask are bizzare."

Touka recognizes the mask of the ninja.

Kenshin grips his sword and readies for battle.

-Now, now! Let's not act to hastily. I've just come to say hello, the voice speaks.

-Ohhh, sniff. The voice smells the air.

-How fascinating! You even have a Demi-Demon amongst you, this is most interesting.

-Tired of being alone Uchiha?

-So tired you'd even commit a taboo such as the one you've committed.

-HaaaHaaa!

-So much fun! So much entertainment!

-I think I will watch you for a while longer.

-Then we can play!

-Oh try not to disappoint me.

-Sniff. The voice smells the air again.

-Ha! That blood, just how long do you think the young one has until that blood overtakes him completely.

Surely you've noticed.

-Fairwell Uchiha, until next time.

The voice fades away and the ninja disappear back into the shadows.

Kenshin releases the grip of his sword while Touka looks around for the ninja and the source of the mysterious voice.

-What the hell, why, who were those ninja, Renji asks?

-I've never seen that clan before.

-I have, Touka shouts back.

-They are ninja that serve the Demons, Kenshin answers back.

-Demons, Renji shouts! That's absurd, no ninja clan serves Demons!

-They do, Touka answers back. They are Demons themselves.

-Just who the hell was that Kenshin?

-I don't know Touka, Kenshin replies.

-But it seems we've lost the night so we might as well head back.

-An Uchiha!

-The Master wasn't wrong, he really is an Uchiha!

-While The Master is a way I think I'll play with him for a while!

-Hahaaa! Yes what fun!

-Now go my pet's!

-And you go too! I believe you will be happy to see one of the company!

-Haha!

-A touching family reunion, how sweet it will be when your trying to kill each other!

-HAHAHAAAAAA!

Kenshin Touka and Renji prepare for another night.

As of late there encounter with Lesser Demons has been on the rise.

There are 3 different kinds of Demons. There are the rare and most powerful of the Demons The full blooded Demons like the Relic. Though thought to have been extinct full bloods are dangerous deadly foes.

There are Demi-Demons. They are Demons that are human in form great in power, smart and cunning, they serve the full bloods.

And there are the Lesser Demons. Demons that are more animal like, not as intelligent they serve both Demi-Demons and full bloods.

All Demons are bound to serve Full bloods. The full bloods rule is absolute no Demon can refuse the command of a full blood.

But the Demi-Demons still try there best to rule over whatever they can. They play boss, that is until the real boss arrives.

Not only are they bound by blood. They are also aware of and terrified of the power they know a full blood poses.

It's been quite some time since Kenshin and the gang had that encounter with that mysterious voice.

And although they've never ran across the voice again, since that encounter the Lesser Demons have been on the move.

Kenshin can't help but notice the Demons are no longer trying to hide there existence in the shadows.

Night after night our 3 heroes have there hands full slaying the ever increasing numbers of Lesser Demons.

-Freeze Over!

Renji shouts as he slams his kusarisama to the ground causes ice spears to shoot upward out of the now frozen ground.

-Dammit! There's just to many of them, Touka shouts out in frustration as the Lesser Demons continue to attack.

-Just keep fighting! Yeah there's alot but most of them are weak, Kenshin yells out, trying to reassure the others.

But no matter how many they kill more just keep emerging out of the wood works.

-There like damn cockroaches, Renji yells!

-Touka! Let's puts and end to this now, Kenshin shouts out to Touka as his eyes burst into white flames.

The sound of a thousand birds chirping rings through the air and the ground beneath Kensh8n starts to peel away.

Renji watches in amazement. This is the first time he sees Kenshin like this.

Kenshin aims his sword to the sky and the quickly thrust it down stabbing into the ground.

All of a sudden the clouds overhead come together and close in creating a large tornado.

-Wow, Renji says in amazement, he can control the weather itself.

All of a sudden Touka leaps into the air.

Her eyes catch flames and they burn red as she jumps, throwing hundreds of daggers into the swirling tornado.

She lands and smiles.

The tornado hits the horde of Demons then begins to rain flaming daggers down onto the Demons.

Kenshin grabs the handle of his sword embedded in the ground.

Touka and Kenshin shout out at the same time.

-FIRE STORM!

Calling out there attack and as they do a giant flash of lightning strikes the ground.

All the Lesser Demons succumb to the sheer power of Kenshin and Toukas devastating combined attack.

Nothing is left alive.

Renji can only look on in amazement and disbelief.

-Wow! What power, he thinks to himself!

The ground smokes from the flames and lightning strike and the electricity sizzles in the air until fading away.

The very earth changed due to the amazing power of the attack.

-Wow Kenshin! That worked better then I thought it would, Touka shouts out as she runs over to Kenshin who is now sheathing his sword.

-Yeah! That's definitely a good way to take out the trash in one swift move, Kenshin tells her back.

Renji can't say anything, though impressed he's to proud and jealous to acknowledge there amazing power.

So he only looks on but as he does he can feel his blood boil out of jealousy.

-What did you think of that? Huh Renji, Touka shouts out proudly!

-That, it wasn't a bad attack. Even though it took the two of you to create such a power. It was still impressive, Renji stubbornly replies back.

Kenshin just looks over sensing the jealousy in Renjis tone.

-In time Renji you to will be able to summon that kind of power at will, Kenshin tells Renji.

-In time! Whatever I can use that kind of power and more. And I can do it on my own with my own attack, not having to rely or combine my power with anyone, Renji shouts back in frustration!

-Relax Renji, we're all on the same side! This isn't a competition, Touka tells him.

In a village not so far away the towns people prepare for the night.

Hurry up kids, a mother tells her children.

Hurry up get inside. You can't be out while it's dark that's when the Tiger Demon is out hunting for human souls, she tells the kids as she rushes them in and closes the door.

The whole village goes into hiding at night. Afraid to even look outside when it's dark.

There are rumors of a ruthless Demon that has stripes like that of a tiger. A monster almost human in form but its said that it feeds on the souls of the living to survive.

This green eyed Tiger Demon has been striking fear in the hearts of this and other nearby villages.

And tonight is no different from the nights as of late.

Nightfall hits shadowing over the town.

Green eyes glow in the dark as the predator begins hunting its prey.

A teenage boy races to get home with his friends.

-Crap we better hurry!

-Do you think it's true the rumors about the Tiger?

-Oh come on! A tiger monster! Yeah right, there just saying that to scare us so we don't stay out late.

Stop being a bunch of wusses!

The boys argue as they race to get home.

-What was that!

There's rustling coming from the field beside them.

-Crap we need, I knew I shouldn't have went with you guys!

-Oh quit your......

The sound of footsteps following them quietly reaches there ears.

-WHAT, Who's There!

One of the boys yell out.

They look around but there's nothing.

They start to walk again faster this time.

Once again they can hear light footsteps.

But it sounds like it's coming from all directions.

They hasten there pace.

One of the boys looks back.

Gulp! He swallows his heart as he looks at the glowing green eyes coming at him fast.

Before he can even scream he swallowed up into the darkness.

The other two boys turn around.

-What, where did!

-Hey, we're gonna leave you if you don't stop playing.....

From above the Tiger stripped monster jumps onto the boys.

They don't have time to think or even scream before the monster rips them into pieces.

Once again the Tiger strikes spreading more fear.

Not so far away our heroes are getting ready to call it a night.

Renji still feeling jealousy for the power he seen in Kenshin.

He begins to wonder how much power he hasn't seen.

And Touka she's just a girl.

A ninja but she's just a...

He suddenly thinks of his sister Tomoe and how no matter how hard he trained she was always so far ahead of him.

"She's just like Tomoe so strong and smart." He thinks to himself.

Because of that reason he feels less jealousy toward Touka.

But Kenshin."Just who is he? How is he so powerful?" The questions circle through Renjis mind.

-Well I guess we should eat and then get some rest, Kenshin tells the others.

-We had a busy night, so let's get plenty to eat!

Kenshin prepares the food.

He hands Touka hers.

She gladly except it and digs right in.

Renji still feeling resentment pulls the bowl away angrily.

The two glare at each other then Kenshin goes sit by Touka and begins to eat.

-Whats his problem, Kenshin asks Touka?

-I don't know, he's just a kid let him be, she says back.

The two once again glare at each other then quickly look away.

A little later after everyone ate Renji is sitting all alone apparently still in a foul mood.

He sharpens the blade of the sickle on his kusarisama.

Kenshin sees the opportunity of a lifetime.

The opportunity to give that grumpy punk just what he deserves.

Kenshin passes by Renji.

Renji looks up angrily but then realizes Kenshin is not even looking his way nor paying him any mind.

So he looks back down and continues to sharpen his sickle.

Kenshin puts his foot on the chain of the kusarisama and gently pushes the chain along with him.

After he's done doing his sneaky little dead he quickly sits down facing away from Renji to hide the smile he's unable to hide from his face.

Kenshin clicks his index and thumb together his eyes flash white and a jolt of electricity forms between his fingers.

He then touches the chain of the kusarisama sending the jolt of electricity straight up the chain. Then he quickly kicks the end of the chain away and gets up and walks away.

Renji sharpening the sickle gets shocked out of nowhere by the electricity.

ZAP!

Renji jumps up, his hair standing up on his head with smoke coming off of his body.

-What, What The Hell!?!

Renji looks around puzzled trying to figure out...

-Wait, he says as he realizes he was just shocked.

He looks towards Touka who is already laughing and pointing in tears.

Angrily he throws the sickle down and looks finally catching Kenshin as he disappears into the bushes acting like he has to pee or something.

Kenshin quickly jumps out of sight and starts rolling on the ground laughing holding his mouth trying not to be to loud.

But Renji hears it.

Renji just sits back down angrily and mumbles to himself while listening to the ongoing laughter of the two immature idiots.

-I'm not stooping to there level. There worst then kids, he mumbles.

-How can that i***t be so powerful, he says then becomes even more upset.

After a while the laughter finally stops and everyone calms down and gets ready to rest.

-Kenshin!

-Hey Kenshin!

Saya shouts as she runs toward Kenshin.

-Isn't it great!

-I can't believe our house is already done!

-I guess the General isn't so bad after all, I can't believe not only did he just give you the material he also sent the guys to build our new home.

-Wow! It's so amazing! Isn't it!

-It sure is Saya Kenshin tells her back!

-Its perfect! This is our home.

-Come on Saya let's go see how it looks inside.

-Yippe! I'm coming Kenny, Saya shouts out in joy!

The two walk around in there newly built home there right where Kenshin and Saya laid at not so long ago looking up at the stars. Not so long ago they kissed under a starlit sky and decided this was the perfect spot for there new home.

Once it was decided and with a little help from The General, Saya and Kenshin now walk around realizing there dream as it comes to life.

-Wow Kenny it's everything I wanted and so much more, Saya shouts as she pulls Kenshin this way and that way!

The two of the walk around the house then finally make there way to the bedroom.

-MM! Its perfect! You know what we'll be doing in here Saya says as she's pulls on Kenshins shirt.

Kenshins face grows bright red.

Saya pulls him into the room while kissing him making there way to the bed.

She kisses him and then tells him, might as well test it out while we're here!!

Kenshin starts to quickly pull of his shirt.

-Come on Kenny!

-Right here Kenny!

-Your gonna do it right here, Saya tells Kenshin as he takes his sword off his side.

-Yeah we can do it right here, he shouts back!

He turns around to Saya there's something, a blade sticking right under her heart!

What how!

He quickly goes to her and reaches for the blade but can't feel anything.

Sayas smile turns into a frown.

-Right here Kenny!

-Your gonna do it right here!

-Your gonna watch, just let me die right here.

-But I'll never, NEVER LET YOU FORGET ME KENNY!

Kenshin grabs the bloodied Saya as she collapses.

-Saya No, he cries out as he holds her falling to his knees with her in his arms bleeding.

She picks up her her hand and touches Kenshin on his face.

Her hand is cold so so cold.

She whispers on last time, I'll never let you forget me Kennyyy!!....

Kenshin jumps up!

His face is cold. He wipes the newly fallen snow off of his face. It's right where Saya touched him.

He looks outside to see how much snow has fallen.

There is none.

Was, was she just here.

Don't go please don't leave me Saya, he cries out.

Touka quietly watches from a distance with tears in her eyes.

Renji watches on to. His anger and jealousy becomes sadness and sorrow.

Kenshin looks around realizing Saya is gone it was just a dream another dream.

He tries to pull himself out of the haze while trying to regain his composer.

He looks around its already afternoon.

How long? How long will these dreams haunt me?

I will never ever forget you Saya.

And you will never ever let me.

I don't want to forget you but I don't want to keep reliving your final moments.

I'm so stuck in this haze.

I can't make my way out this maze.

Your memory lives on in mind as it constantly replays.

Touka finally stops herself from crying and works up the courage to begin moving around making sure Kenshin knows she's awake.

He looks over to her and sees her smile that fake smile.

He knows she's been watching him.

He looks back over at her and gives her that sad but genuine smile.

She holds back the tears, gets herself up and goes sit right beside Kenshin.

To her amazement Kenshin rest his head on her shoulders.

-Hey you ok Kenshin, she asks already knowing the answer.

-I'm fine now Touka. Thank you, he answers back lowly.

Touka begins to cry.

Kenshin keeps his head on her shoulder and asks, why Touka, why do you shed, why do you waste your tears on me?

-Because I care about you Kenshin, she replies.

The two just sit there.

Renji quietly observes the two.

He realizes the bond they share, it makes him think of his sister.

It makes his heart ache with pain.

Later that night the scent of sulfur fills the air just as darkness envelopes the sky.

Renji picks up the scent and prepares himself for battle.

Kenshin and Touka are already heading in the direction of the scent.

-Hey Renji! Are you coming or what Touka shouts back to him while trying to keep up with Kenshin.

-The scent is strong. I can tell it's coming from multiple Demons, Kenshin tells Touka and Renji.

-Good! I'm ready for some action, Renji shouts, hopefully they can at least give me a warm up this time!

As the 3 run in the direction the scent is coming from all of a sudden a Demon almost snake like in appearance attacks Touka from atop the trees she's dashing through.

-Aaarghhh!

The Demon yells out with a hissing like voice.

It catches Touka by surprise and in doing so knocks her from the tree tops.

Touka closes her eyes just before hitting the ground.

Kenshin catches her.

She opens her eyes to Kenshin smiling.

Kenshin quickly erases his smile and prepares himself for a slap and the usual snappy pervert comments that are sure to follow.

He quickly closes his eyes and prepares for the slap.

Smooch!

Touka kisses Kenshin on the cheek and thanks him for catching her.

Kenshin opens his eyes in surprise and smiles back.

-Are you thinking what I'm thinking, Touka asks Kenshin while looking up back at the Demon slithering through the tree tops.

-Up you go, Kenshin yells out as he through Touka who's now squatting in his arm preparing to jump.

She flies into the air.

She smiles that pretty cunning little smile and her eye's blaze into red flames.

She begins twirling fast increasing her speed while flying straight towards the Demon.

-Burning Rose!

She yells out her attack while unsheating her short sword.

Her sword catches into flames as she blazes past the Demon then she abruptly comes to a hault and dives back down slashing straight through the middle of the Demon.

As soon as she burst through and through the hole she made in the Demon explodes into flames looking like a rose budding into a beautiful flower of flames consuming the Demon.

She bounces off the tree then lands back on the ground.

She licks her bottom lip and smiles while resheating her sword.

-To easy, she says confidently!!

Her smile quickly fades away when she looks up and sees the horde of Lesser Demons in front of her, all now heading straight for her.

Renji blazes out of nowhere right past her.

His eyes frost into that icy blue while he swings the sickle on his kusarisama.

He jumps into the middle of the horde and starts nimbly bouncing slashing enemies with his sickle both by swinging it off the chain to s***h and by recatching it and slashing enemies up close and personal.

It looks like a choreographed dance.

As he slashes the Demons there blood freezes.

He slashes them all in the blink of an eye almost simultaneously.

Kenshin appears out of nowhere right in the middle of the slashed horde.

Renji quickly retreates and while he's doing so Kenshin raises his sword to the air, his eyes catch into white flames and he smirks.

The sky above becomes cloudy and the clouds collide into one spot right above Kenshin while spinning in a spiral.

All of a sudden thunder erupts followed by a large lightning storm.

The lightning hits the Demons with there frozen blood causing them all to explode.

-DRY ICE!!

Kenshin and Renji holler out the name of there super combined attack.

Electricity crackles in the air and the clouds roll away revealing the moon.

The light of the moon reveals the devastating damage of the attack.

The ground is seared and still smoking and there are broken scattered frozen pieces of Demons.

-Wow, Touka shouts out!

That was really amazing!

Renji smiles feeling proud of himself.

-No time to celebrate you two, Kenshin shouts out.

There's still work to do.

The three leave the battle scene and head towards a village that isn't so far away from where they encountered the Demon horde.

The village is quite but Touka noticed a light that went off as soon as they entered into the village.

Its apparent these people are suffering from some kind of Demon invasion.

They made it in time to save these people.

Other then the apparent fear the people have of being out at night there doesn't seem to be to much if any damage or casualties yet.

Touka notices man peering out of a window she quickly goes to him but he runs away from the window just as fast as she gets there.

-There definitely spooked, she tells Kenshin.

I'd say they've at least seen a Demon.

She knocks on the door.

Knock! Knock!

-Hey I know your in there!

It's not polite to not welcome guest!

-Hey! Open up where here to help, Touka shouts as she knocks on the door!

-G, Go away!

A frightened voice answers back.

-Go away, get out of here before it realizes we're in here!

Hurry up and leave before it comes after you.

Your gonna get us all killed by that Tiger Demon!

-Now hurry up and leave please! It's not safe to be out there at night!

-Tiger Demon?

So it's just a Lesser Demon, Touka says to herself.

-Sir!

-What can you tell me of this Tiger Demon?

-Does it look like a tiger, Touka questions the man.

-Stop yelling, your gonna make that thing come after us, the man yells back!

-I don't know what it looks like, I just know it's said to have stripes like a tiger and it's a Maneater! Now I've answered your questions, so please go!!

"Stripes like a tiger"Renji thinks to himself.

Kenshin sees the look on Renjis face.

-What Renji, do you know something about this Demon?, Kenshin asks.

-No, no tiger stripes just made me think of something.

Kenshin notices Renji still has that look of concern on his face.

Renji thinks about the night the Demon attacked his home and stole his sister.

She was already wearing her ninja uniform, the one her dad made for her from the rogue tiger she killed.

He remembers how she was still alive and screaming while the Demon flew off with her.

His eyes frost into that icy blue as anger sets in on his face.

Could this Demon, did this Demon kill his sister stealing her uniform now wearing it like some trophy!

He clinches his kusarisama tightly.

He quickly begins to beat on the door.

-Hey, he shouts!

-When, where was the Demon last seen?

-Hey answer the damn question before I break down this door!!

Renji!

Touka yells out while grabbing Renjis arm.

-Whats wrong with you?

Renji pulls his arm away and yells out again, Where was the Demon last seen.

The man comes to the door begging.

-Please please just leave us alone.

Go to the house at the far end of the village, one of the last victim's came from that house.

Now leave!

-Pathetic coward!

Renji shouts as he turns to head to the house.

Touka grabs his arm.

-Hey!

What the hell is wrong with you?

We're here to help them, not scare and threaten them!

Touka yells at Renji in disapproval of his actions.

Renji yanks his arm back!

-What do you know about it!

About anything?

What have you lost, What's been taking No Stolen from you!

He shouts back at her.

She let's go and puts her head down.

Kenshin puts his arm on her shoulder.

-Come on Touka, let's just trust him.

I'll make sure he doesn't get carried away, OK?!

Kenshin tells Touka.

The two follow Renji to the house.
