The Samurai episode 5 Saya Dream Or Nightmare?

One day Kenshin runs into a pretty girl one of the likes he has never seen before.

She lives and works in a village he frequents because his commander is stationed nearby.

They often rendezvous together at the ramen shop she works at.

Soon he begins to go to the ramen shop alone just so he can see her.

But he never talks to her. No he only watches her from a distance.

She is so beautiful so interesting.

He eats at the ramen shop almost daily now. But not for the ramen.

He enjoys watching this beautiful girl, her smile brings peace to his tormented dark heart.

She makes him forget about killing, war and revenge just for that moment.

Another day. And once again he finds himself at the ramen shop.

He sits down .

He feels his heart begin to flutter.

Here she comes.

The usual she ask while smiling that beautiful smile he enjoys so much.

He quickly looks down to the table his cheeks glowing red.

Um, yeah. Yes the usual he says.

She brings him his food then she walks away.

Kenshin begins to eat.

The girl comes back and places her hand on the table, Well! She says.

Kenshin with a mouth full of noodles looks up toward her then quickly swallows.

I’m busy he tells her.

Can I help you he ask. While grabbing another large portion of ramen with his chopsticks to nervous to look back up at her.

I’ll say the pretty girl answers back with her beautiful soft voice.

You know she says. You come in here almost everyday.

You sit right here, you order the same exact thing. And then you eat it while watching me starring at me like I’m the next course.

Or did you think I didn’t notice? She says while giggling with her hand beside her mouth.

Kenshin almost choking on the ramen spits it out.

Spoooohhhh!

WHA! WHAT!

Your, your dreaming lady!! He shouts out.

Yeah right pretty boy! She shouts back at him.

-You sit right here everyday almost eat and then stay for nearly an hour just watching me. Sneaking looks at me not even sneaking.

-You just stare at me like I’m your desert.

Waiting for me to be brought over in a saucer!

She laughs again.

Kenshin who was already taking another bite of ramen to try to hide the fact that he’s nervous, spits the ramen out all over the girl!

WHHATT! He shouts!

Eww! Gross!

The girl says as she pushes the ramen off her apron.

She then laughs and tells Kenshin, You should see the look on your face!

She continues laughing your as red as the setting sun.

She keeps laughing.

Kenshin quickly turns his head down facing the table trying to hide his face.

-Well!

She ask, So are you gonna ask me my name?

-Or are you gonna just keep coming in to watch me like some kind of pervert!?

Kenshin gulps.

-Your, what! Go away, he insists.

She bends down, My name is Saya btw.

She winks at him smiles and then she stands back up straight.

Sa, Saya, Kenshin says.

No just Saya, she answers him back.

-Uh um!

-Manners pretty boy! I told you my name.

-Soooo!?

Kenshin blushing answers back quickly, Stop saying that I’m not pretty.

Well then politely tell me your name, she tells him back.

-And I hate to break it to you, I see you carrying that sword around trying to look all Macho.

-But you are pretty almost as pretty as me!

Kenshin, Kenshin shouts out just to shut her up!

-My name is Kenshin.

Oh, she says back.

She then pulls of her apron and sits at the table right across from Kenshin.

-That’s a nice name, she says.

Wha, What are you doing? Kenshin ask her.

She looks at Kenshin and smiles. My shift has just ended!

-Why are you freaking out? This Is what you wanted right?

-Looks like it’s your lucky night.

She gets up and walks over and sits at Kenshins table right across him.

She places her hands on the table.

She has pretty hands with red painted finger nails.

She then pulls her hair down and uses hers hands to fluff and fix it.

One bang falls over her face.

She uses her hand to gently brush it behind her ear.

She is so cute.

So beautiful.

Kenshin swallows really hard while staring at her.

Sooo, she says I’m hungry. -Well aren’t you gonna order me something to eat?

Wouldn’t be much a date if you didn’t, She tells him!

All while giggling, rolling her hands playfully on the table.

Kenshin gulps again.

A, A date, He says nervously!

Then gulps again.

Saya looks at him.

-OMG!

-You’ve never been on a date before! Have you, she ask then she leans over the table right in front of Kenshin’s increasingly red face.

-Well I bet you’ve never kissed a girl neither. Have you?

She then whispers as she leans in closer. Especially not one as pretty as me.

She moves in closer.

Kenshin’s eyes open wide as fear sets in.

On the battlefield he has an iron clad nerves of steal.

But this girl, she has him so flustered.

He can’t even think straight.

But at the same time he likes it.

He’s never felt this before this feeling it new it’s nice.

And she smells so good, sweet like cherry blossoms.

He steadies his racing heart and closes his eyes.

He feels her lips sweet and so lushes press against his.

They feel so soft.

He could stay in this moment forever.

He kisses her back.

Then he opens his eyes.

He looks at Saya.

Theres blood on her lips coming from her mouth.

He quickly reaches his hand up to his mouth and wipes the blood from his lips and looks at it.

He looks back up at Saya and she ask him, Kenshin, I thought you loved me?

I do he says back quickly I love you more than anything more than life itself.

You’re the only happiness. The only love I’ve ever known.

Then why, she ask? Why did you just let me DIEEE!

Kenshin jumps as he comes too.

He's in front of the fire still glaring into the flames.

He wipes the tear from his eye.

Saya, He whispers.

He looks down Touka is still fast asleep but she is now laying with her arms around him hugging onto him as if to make sure he doesn’t leave.

He shakes his head from the haze.

He then looks into the moon lit forest.

There is a pack of wolves passing.

One of the wolves stops and looks at Kenshin with its glowing golden eyes.

Then continues moving with the pack.

Kenshin thinks to himself. How long will I continue to have these visions?

Saya I miss you so much.

But how long will you haunt my dreams?

Then he looks back into the fire.

The war.

How long has it been since I thought of the war?

How long since I thought about..

The Demons?

Have they returned?

I thought we, I thought the Uchiha wiped them out.

That Demi-Demon, he said master.

Did, does he mean The Master?!

No that’s impossible.

He’s dead the General killed him himself.

There must have been a few surviving lesser Demons.

They could have survived hiding like I did rebuilding there strength.

They must have been waiting for the right time creating Demi-Demons.

Waiting for the right moment to resurface.

But why now?

Are they planning to start another war?

And wait that Demi-Demon said Uchiha he knew I was an Uchiha.

But how?

How can that be possible.

I kept myself and my powers hidden.

How can it have known I was an Uchiha?

Just what is going on?

Kenshin falls asleep with his thoughts racing. …

Kenshin!

Hey, Kenshin, Saya cries out!

So how did it go, she ask him?

-You haven’t been to the shop in a while. You finally started to miss me huh!

Kenshin face looks weary and serious until he looks up at Saya.

He then smiles and says, it’s great to see that beautiful face again.

You’re a sight for sore eyes.

Saya blushes and giggles then rushes over to Kenshin and gives him a big hug.

Kenshin hugs her back then gives her a big kiss.

Saya returns the kiss, then she tells Kenshin how much she's missed him.

-I was so worried you know?

-I never know if I’m gonna see you again when you leave like that she says as she turns pouting.

Kenshin grabs her gently and turns her back to him.

-You have nothing to worry about Saya.

-I will always return for you.

-Always I promise.

She smiles then hugs him around his neck.

You promise she ask?

-Yes I promise Saya I will always come back to you.

-I come bearing good news. The war is almost over.

-Most of the leaders were taken out a few nights ago in a covert operation.

A memory flashes into Kenshins mind.

Its him standing in a dark room his eyes glowing white.

There is blood and dead bodies.

-A voice shouts out, An Uchiha! You’re an Uchiha!!

-But that's Impossible I watched all of you die!

Kenshin drives his sword into the mans leg.

AAAGHHH, The man cries out!

Kenshin answers back, no you DIDN’T watch all of us die.

-I alone survived.

THAT'S RIGHT WE SURVIVED JUST TO KILL YOU!

THE MOMENT WE LIVED FOR IS FINALLY HERE KENSHIN!

NOW LET THE BLOOD RAIN!

He pulls his sword out of the man Generals leg.

-Yes the moment I’ve waited so long for.

-My revenge.

-Now I can finally avenge my people.

-Let your blood rain from the sky!

-Your going to die just like The Uchiha.

-And just as you did. We're going to enjoy every second of it.

Kenshin raises his sword and grins an evil grin.

He slowly brings down his sword and puts it in front of the General who’s crying begging for his life.

But before the man has a chance to answer Kenshin, he raises his sword then slices the man’s head in half top to bottom spraying blood all over.

Yes! YES! BLOOD MORE BLOOD!!

Kenshin stands up and his eyes fade back to normal.

It’s over he tells himself.

-Finally my people can rest in peace.

Hey, Saya shouts out!

-Yoou who! Earth to Kenshin, she says while waving her hands in front of Kenshin’s face.

-Don’t go spacing out on me meanie.

-I’ve been waiting for two weeks to see you she says!!

He shakes his head then grabs and kisses her again.

So Babes he says, they will no longer be needing my services!

Really, Saya shouts out cheerfully!

That’s right he answers. So? How about we get married? Huh what do you think about that Saya!

She pushes herself away from Kenshin and frowns.

That’s not very nice Kenny!

-Not nice at all playing with my emotions.

-Don’t joke around like that. Getting a girls…

He grabs her by her hand turns her around and puts his finger to her lips.

Hey, he says, I’m being serious.

-I love you Saya and I wouldn’t joke about this.

-Sooo, what do you say?

Saya looks up into his face still frowning.

Your not joking, she answers back?

He removes his hand from her lips and uses it to push her chin gently making her look into his eyes.

Her face immediately turns bright red and she smiles with tears of joy rolling out of her eyes.

Yes! Yes, she shouts out! Yay! Where getting married!

-Me and Kenny are getting married.

She wraps her arms around his neck, pulls herself up to him and starts kissing him with tears still rolling down her face.

-Oh Kenny we can spend the rest of our lives together.

-We can stay together.

-Until.

Kenshin! Kenshin, hey it’s time to get up, Touka shouts out!

Kenshin opens his eyes and sees Touka standing up fixing her knives into the belt above her skirt.

She looks up at him and says, I think we should move, I need to get back to my commander.

-I think it’s safe to say were not being followed now.

-I should meet up with my commander as soon as possible and let him know what’s going on.

-That is if he even believes it, he’s probably gonna think I’m going crazy.

No! No, Kenshin says as he starts to stand up!

He puts his sword into his belt and tells Touka, we can’t mention anything about Demons.

-We don’t know who we can trust.

-We don’t know how much influence the Demons already have on men.

-Touka you can’t even my last name.

-TO NO ONE!

What? What are you talking about, Touka ask back?

-I have to tell my commander he’s my superior.

-Besides if they don’t know how can they prepare themselves, Touka says.

No Touka! Promise me you won’t say anything about Demons or my last name, Kenshin demands.

-Please I need you to trust me on this.

Touka looks and sees the seriousness of Kenshin’s face.

Ohhh! Ok fine. Whatever. Sooo what do I say exactly, she ask?

Kenshin looks at her, well you’re the Tracker Ninja!

Come up with something, something that doesn’t involve Demons.

Besides you never found the killer.

-That scythe wielding monster was undoubtedly the killer!

Kenshin answers her, I doubt it IDK maybe.

-Something tells me your wrong but it doesn’t matter!

Ok, Touka replies.

-I still have time to think were a ways from the city.

That’s a good thing Kenshin says as he readies to leave.

I got this so just back off gees, Touka shouts as they begin to make there way back to the trail.

So just how are you going to make contact Touka, Kenshin ask?

That’s easy we just go to The Sunset Dinner, she replies.

-One of our messengers will be there waiting for my report and while we’re there we enjoy some western style beef and then stay in one of the there rooms at the inn upstairs.

Then we just hang out until he gets back from delivering the message and see what my next orders will be.

-Easy enough!!

They arrive int the city and locate the dinner.

It looks busy, Touka tells Kenshin.

So how about we go get our room situated get cleaned up then come back and order some food while waiting to make contact.

Kenshin answers back, That sounds good but I don’t have any money Touka.

Well it’s a good thing thing I DO, She replies!

-So come on.

They walk over to the clerk and Touka tells the lady, I would like to get a room. One with Two Beds.

The Inn Keeper looks down into her logs, I’m sorry ma'am but we only have one bed rooms at the moment.

Touka’s face grows red.

-What!

Kenshin puts his on on the table.

We'll take it he tells the Inn Keeper.

Touka turns around to him and says, I knew it you perv. You just can’t wait to get me all alone in that bed!! Well don’t get your…

Kenshin knocks Touka on the top of her head.

Pipe down would ya. I’ll sleep on the floor so don’t get any crazy idea's.

Kenshin knocks her on the top of her head again.

Hey, she shouts while rubbing her head looking up at him.

Kenshin then grabs her by the arm and tells her, Come on let’s go, your making a scene.

The two bicker and argue all the way to there room.

They settle in and clean themselves up.

Touka comes out the bathroom fresh out the shower in a small black dress.

It’s the dress she wears underneath her ninja uniform.

Its skin tight.

Her hair is wet, it’s down as she brushes it.

Well let’s go eat she tells Kenshin.

He looks up and can’t believe just how beautiful Touka really is.

Wow!

Slips out of his mouth.

He blushes and puts his head down hoping she didn’t hear him.

But she did.

She blushes and quickly turns around.

She then says, well let’s go. I’m buying so let’s enjoy a good meal.

Kenshins eyes get huge and he runs to the door shouting Let’s Go!

Touka giggles to herself as she follows behind him saying outloud, your such a big kid.

Kenshin pays her no mind as he rushes down and quickly sits at a table calling for a menu.

Touka makes it to the table and sits down, the waitress brings them a menu each.

The two of them open it and both start drooling over all the tasty looking options.

Kenshin looks up at Touka.

-You are buying still right!?

His mouth opened wide watering, Then Then let’s.

Touka cuts him off shouting, THE BARBECUE BEEF SPECIAL!

Her eyes big and mouth also watering.

Kenshin shouts out, YEAH!!

The two look at each other grinning and drooling.

The waitress laughs and says BBQ Beef it is, be back shortly.

YIPPEEE!!

The two shout out.

She turns back around and ask would you two like to try our seafood appetizer.

They answer together, ABSOLUTELY!

Then Kenshin shouts out and what about some pork and and some chicken and maybe we can get sweet dumplings for dessert.

Hey, Touka shouts out!

But then she looks at Kenshins face looking so happy and innocent like a kid in a candy store, eyes sparkling.

Oooohh, I suppose we can get that as well she says while smiling to herself thinking, this is the first time I’ve ever seen him so happy, it’s kind of cute he looks so innocent when he’s not being so serious or fighting Demons.

I guess I’ll let him enjoy himself, who knows when we’ll get a chance like this again.

Out of no where’s a stranger comes and sits down right beside Touka.

Hey, Kenshin says aggressively, this table is taken so buzz off if you know what’s good for you.

The jealousy in his voice apparent.

The strange man looks at Touka and ask her, who is this Touka, why are you accompanied by this civilian?

Who is this man and where have you been?

I said beat it buddy, Kenshin shouts out again, she's with me so find your own table!

Touka smiles hearing the jealousy in Kenshin’s voice.

She giggles and ask Kenshin, what’s the matter Kenshin? Afraid he’s gonna steal me away from you??

What, He shouts out, No I just don’t want you to leave and not pay for the food is all!

Really, she shouts out angrily!

The two begin arguing.

The man slams his hand down on the table.

Touka, he shouts, I asked you a question.

His hood falls off revealing his face.

Co. Commander, Touka says in a surprised voice, Commander! What are you doing here?

How embarrassing, The Commander proclaims!

-To see The Mighty Touka arguing and acting like some child.

Kenshin jumps up and grabs the man by the front of his shirt, Hey pal! I don’t know who you are or who you think you are. And I really don’t care.

Touka jumps up and grabs Kenshins hand, Kenshin stop it!

-This, this is my Commander.

She brushes off her commanders shirt where Kenshin grabbed it.

-I’m I’m very sorry sir. I had no idea you yourself would be coming.

The man looks down at where Kenshin grabbed him then looks at Kenshin angrily.

Kenshin looks back and notices the white gloves and the uniform under the man’s cloak.

He’s a high ranking officer.

The Commander again turns his attention towards Touka and ask once again.

-Answer the question Touka! Who is this man! Where have you been?

Touka looks down at Kenshin who is no flagging the waitress down.

She sits back down and answers the Commander, he’s my guide Sir, he’s a skilled Samurai that fought in the war and his assistance has already been a great aid in my mission.

The Commander looks at Kenshin who’s trying to wave down the waitress acting like a kid looking upset.

Really, he replies back to Touka, you don’t say, well might he find another table?

-We have business to discuss.

Touka answers the Commander, No, He stays!

What, The commander shouts!

Kenshin stops flagging for the waitress and turns around.

Yes Sir he stays, Touka tells her Commander again.

-He is no mere civilian she continues. I will vouch for him and I ask that you immediately make his assistance official.

I would like him to be my partner in this mission.

He has already proven himself worthy on multiple occasions. I need him Commander.

The Commander looks at Kenshin.

Kenshin, my name is Kenshin, Kenshin replies.

I am an orphan so I have no given family name.

The Commander waives down a waitress, I would like to cancel the order placed by this table young lady he tells the waitress.

Ohhh, Kenshin says aloud!

He and Touka begin pouting, tears forming in there eyes.

-I wanna cancel there order and place a new one.

-Give us the open buffet. Appetizers, and all the entries on the menu. Tonight we feast, The Commander says!

Kenshin shouts out to the leaving waitress, And don’t forget the desserts, Don’t forget the sweet dumplings!

What, Touka shouts!

No worries, The Commander tells her my treat.

As there waiting they begin to talk.

So how goes the mission, The Commander ask Touka?

Touka replies,

-We have already been to all the Flaming Skull hideouts. They are all dead including there leader.

It was hard to get anything useful, being the crime scenes have been subject to the elements and wild wild animals.

I have yet to identify the killer or killers or even a motive for that matter.

-But it’s my firm belief that the Flaming Skulls were just pee ons answering to a larger darker force yet to reveal itself.

And I have also come to believe that even with them being wiped out.

Things will only get worst not better.

I can feel an evil presence growing laying in wait.

I think soon they will emerge from the shadows.

-I think it’s best if we beef up security remain on high alert for the time being. Call in more Tracker Ninja. Check into all known crime affiliated gangs.

Keep up with who goes in and out of all surrounding areas.

Keep a close eye on all high crime areas.

The Commander responds, My, now that’s quite a request Touka.

-Do you have substantial evidence to support such a tall order?

-Just who are you trying to flush out?

-I will need something anything, I need something concrete to issue such an order.

Touka answers back,

Please Commander. Just do it.

I wish I had more to give you but I don’t.

-Just call it a hunch or a feeling but my instincts are telling me something is coming.

-I mean look something wiped out a large feared notorious gang. And it happened in one night.

-I think it was a display of power. There showing everyone who’s in charge. Trying to spread fear.

Well, he replies, be glad I came here to see you personally.

-For the time being you should continue working the alleys do some detective work see what you can flush out.

I will send a you a few Tracker Ninjas.

They will stay close in case your in need of there assistance.

-But they won’t get here for several days until then your own your own, Got it?

-Now that’s all the time I have to spare.

The Commander places a stack of money onto the table puts his hood back over his face gets up and walks away.

The food finally arrives and the two start digging in and almost immediately break out into another childish argument.

Screaming, shoving one another.

You Pig, Touka shouts out to Kenshin, you ate all the squid!

Kenshin still stuffing his face shouts back it’s not my fault you eat slow!

Splat a bowl of soup hits him in the face.

Aaahh!

He screams as the hot soup drips down his face. HOT! HOT!

That’s what you get, Touka shouts!

Splash!

Kenshin shoves her face into the plate of food she has in front of her.

He then grabs the piece of BBQ beef from it and quickly swallows it.

Touka raises her head up out of the plate spitting food out!

Hey you big jerk she shouts, that was mine!

She jumps across the table onto Kenshin.

The two start wrestling knocking food and drink everywhere.

While Touka hits Kenshin he leans out and grabs the last piece of BBQ pork and gulps it down.

Touka smacks him almost making him choke on it. Hey that was the last piece! No fair, she cries out!

They both stop wrestling and it immediately becomes a race to see who can devour the most food first.

Both trying to eat more before the other one can.

Moments later they are both sitting stuffed still glaring at one another.

The waitress comes, her face in shock at the mess they left.

Uh Um, she says, here is the dessert you ordered she slams the sweet dumplings on the table and storms off!

Kenshin and Touka both look up at the sweet dumplings. Then quickly glare back at each other.

The scent of the dumplings makes there way to there noses and the both of them jump up running out the dinner holding there mouths trying not to throw up!

They trip on the mat landing right beside each other in the dirt.

They look up at each others face and start laughing hysterically.

The waitress comes to the door with the dumplings.

Well I guess you won’t be needing these she says as she begins to walk away.

Kenshin jumps up and stops her.

We'll be taking those to go he tells her. He pinches his nose and grabs the tray.

The two walk back in making there way to the inn still laughing.

Touka while laughing tells Kenshin, Man I don’t remember the last time. Actually I don’t think I ever laughed that much!!

How about you Kenshin, she ask?

A memory flashes through his mind, a memory of Saya of him and her laughing.

He stops laughing.

He answers her back, it’s been a long time, I didn’t think I’d ever, thank you Touka.

Touka stops laughing she smiles and blushes.

She quickly turns her face from Kenshin so he won’t see.

She tells him, let’s go to our room.

Kenshin replies, I’m right behind you.

She turns and tells Kenshin, you can sleep in the bed. But I’m warning you you better not try anything. I mean it hands to yourself.

Whatever ever sheesh, Kenshin says back, like I was..

Touka cuts him off, don’t act like its easy trying to restrain yourself from trying to touch my astounding female parts and figure!

Kenshin answers back, what astounding, you know I’m starting to wonder who really has the dirty mind here.

Yeah right Touka shouts, nice try pervert! Don’t think I forgot about how you groped your hands all over me while I was asleep.

Kenshin blushes and shouts back, grope you, Why you. I’m starting to think you want me to feel.

POW!

Touka smacks Kenshin behind the head.

Why I never. I changed my mind. It’s the floor for you you dirty letcher, she tells him as she walks away looking angry but smiling to herself.

Whatever, Kenshin shouts back! The floor sounds better to me anyway. I don’t want to feed that dirty mind of yours anymore fuel.

The two enter the room.

Touka looks around.

It’s a nice room with a large window that looks out over the lake.
