The Samurai Part 2 Episode 1 Enter Renji

It's a full moon, the towns folk in a small rural village gets ready to settle in.

They had a hard day of work as always, working there rice field's along with the other food they grow and harvest.

A old man one of the farmers checks in on his little flock of sheep.

Sheep aren't to common in Japan in these times so this flock is the main source of the town's money.

The farmer makes sure they are all accounted for then closes the gate behind him.

BAAAAA!

A sheep cries out.

The man turns back around, its silent now but as he counts the sheep he realizes on is missing.

THUD!

He turns back around and there on the ground is is sheep with a hole ripped from its stomach.

But how? What happened it, it was like the sheep fell from the......

The man looks up into the night sky. He rubs his eyes and looks again.

A giant winged beast soars right in front of the moon. Its gigantic! A bat! A, a Demon!

He watches the beast fly flapping its giant wings, he can hear them flap from all the way on the ground.

He watches petrified, dumbfounded.

He watches until he realizes its heading straight towards his village.

He breaks off into a sprint, running he has to warn them.

As he runs he feels the wind from the wings of the beast as it swoops in low right over his head.

He falls to the ground but as he does he looks up and sees the beast soar high up into the sky.

The man hits the ground and looks back up. Oh no the beast just flew straight downward into the village.

Oh no, I have to warn them he shouts!

He picks himself up off the ground and starts running as fast as he can.

That's when the screams start.

Screaming pierces through the night sky.

He yells out and runs as hard as he can.

He once again falls as he gets back up he sees the winged monster take off up into the night sky.

It disappears from sight.

The man finally makes it to his village.

It's a horrific scene.

There's bodies, blood scattered all over the streets.

He looks and sees a woman hanging out of her window her right arm and shoulder is ripped off all the way to her torso.

He begins to cry while trying not to puke.

He looks on at the c*****e mangled, dismantled bodies everywhere.

Is there no one left?

He yells out, Is anyone still alive? No one answers.

He falls to his knees then begins to sob.

Suddenly he hears something.

He panics at first, has the beast come back for me too?

He looks in the direction of the sound.

Oh my God! He shouts in relief.

It's his granddaughter.

He jumps up your, your alive.

He runs towards her and grabs her hugging her in his arms crying.

Thank God, thank God your alive.

He cries and hugs her.

Suddenly he feels this warm sensation on his shoulder.

The warmth starts to trickle down his back and chest followed by a sharp unimaginable pain.

He releases his hold of his granddaughter and steps away.

He feels his clothes on his chest with his hand its wet, wet and warm.

He looks down at his hand and realizes he's covered in blood.

Wha, what happened, he ask.

He looks over at his shoulder and notices a huge chunk of it is gone, blood is pouring out.

Wha, What?

He looks up at his granddaughter.

She raises her head up face covered in blood.

The moon catches her eyes, green eerie glowing eyes. Suddenly wings tear out of her back at the shoulders and her face seems to rip open forming a giant mouth.

As the mouth forms, razor sharp fangs grow out.

Her whole body begins to stretch and grow.

Her hands become claws, her legs now look more bird like also with claws equipped with huge talons.

She resembles some kind of bat bird mutation.

She's no longer human.

You can hardly tell she ever was except the top of her torn face still has a human form to it.

She's a hideous abomination.

The man cries out as he watches his granddaughter change into this disgusting beast.

He cries out to her and as he does she uses her giant mouth to rip off his head.

Blood sprays everywhere.

The beast devours its meal then takes to the sky.

Touka runs down out of the woods into a village.

Oh no we're already to late, she says angrily. Dammit! we where to slow.

She surveys the area it's a place of c*****e.

She walks down and finds a half eaten headless corpse.

Its obvious something, a Demon was recently feasting on the corpse.

But it's gone and she can't pick up a sulfur trail on the ground anywhere.

Kenshin comes down he looks around at the blood filled street.

He was here. Kenshin says outloud. Finally after all this time he has come back out from hiding.

Touka runs over to Kenshin.

Who? Who was here Kenshin? She ask.

Kenshin looks at her with that serious look in his eyes, The Relic. The Relic was here.

Touka looks at him with shock, you mean that that winged disgusting monster thing we encounteres in the streets that time?, She ask.

Yes Touka, Kenshin replies. He has finally decided to show himself again.

The two continue to investigate the town but all trails have gone cold.

The Relic has left no breadcrumbs behind for our hero's to follow.

Come on! Hurry up let's go! Renji yells out to his older sister.

I'm coming Renji, I'm coming, Tomoe answers back to her younger brother.

Where almost there he says.

The two make there way to there favorite spot, there own training grounds they made for themselves to train.

Renji and Tomoe come from a family of well known ninja and although Tomoe has shown to be a promising young ninja on the rise.

Her little brother Renji seems to be a late bloomer.

Renji takes it hard, the fact that he can't live up to his fathers expectations and he takes it harder that his sister is the one bringing so much attention and honor to there family name.

So everyday they come here and Renji gets secret lessons from his sister that he loves and looks up to so so much.

Renji! I have something for you she says.

Renji runs and looks, his sister opens the folded cloth shes holding in her hand.

It's a Kusarisama or a sickle on a chain.

A deadly weapon.

She gives it to her younger brother and tells him, Renji I want you to train with this from now on. Your not the best with a sword but when it comes to fighting chains you are unsurpassed but since we ninja rely on bladed weapons to kill swiftly and efficiently this kusarisama should serve you nicely.

Renjis eyes grow in size and he grabs the weapon falling instantly in love with it.

He swings it around but being afraid to cut himself he clumsily keeps messing up.

He frowns and drops it. I'm, I'm just no good. I'm never gonna be a ninja, I'll never make dad our our family proud, he says as he begins to sob.

Tomoe puts her hand on her brothers shoulder then she reaches down and picks up the kusarisama.

Little brother I want you to swing this like it's just a chain. Forget about the sickle for now just swing it.

She hands it to him.

He begins swinging it never looking at the sickle, soon he's swinging it spinning it around his legs arms and body jumping twisting.

Great! His sister shouts. Now she says I want you to envision you using the end of the chain like a whip slashing it that way you can take advantage of the sickle on the end of it.

Renji practices it's slow at first but more and more he's getting the hang of it becoming one with his new weapon.

Its been a few weeks since Renji received the kusarisama from his sister.

He has been practicing with it hard every single day and with coaching and help from his big sister he's about ready to show his family his newly developed skills.

Tomoe sets out a few targets in different locations a few yards from Renji. She sets the last one and runs away.

Renji begins swinging his chain, twirling it around his entire body.

He jumps and spins throwing the sickle slicing 3 targets in the blink of an eye.

He lands the swings the chain around his leg then kicks the sickle impaling another target and almost simultaneously pulls it out and use the force to s***h the remaining targets.

Yay! His sister shouts while clapping her hands. Renji your amazing. Wow that was incredible. I can't wait until dad and everyone sees how amazing you are tomorrow at the weapon demonstration. Your gonna be the talk of the clan!

Renji puts his head down and blushes, stop it sis your, your just saying that. He says as he runs toward her. It's all because of you because of the kusarisama you gave me.

Tomoe pops him on the head.

Ow, he looks up, why did you do that? He ask.

She looks down and smiles.

You silly turd, the ninja makes the weapon. I simply help you realize what weapon makes you the ninja! She tells him as she rubs his head. Now let's go home. I'm starving and tomorrow will be a big day.

The two run home together cheerfully.

Its another long night as Kenshin and Touka hunt for Demons.

They've been chasing the same Demon around for a while now but it continues to be one step ahead of them leaving behind it only bloody scenes of c*****e and mayhem.

The two reach the village this time it seems like they've arrived in time.

Unfortunately not in time to save the people they are all already dead.

Bodies everywhere.

But the Demon is still there feeding on a child.

This Demon prefers the taste of kids especially young women or girls.

Maybe its because it once to was a young girl but not anymore, now only the demonic beast remains.

Touka uses her ninja skills to slip in unnoticed. She gets close enough to the Demon to launch an attack.

Her purple eyes burst into red flames and she unsheathes her sword lunging toward to impale the Demon as she does her movement becomes so fast she leaves behind a trail of flames.

Flaming Thrust!

She calls out the name of her attack as it connects with the Demon impaling the Demon in its side just under its chest.

Her short sword runs through and through then it burts into flames.

Got it she shouts!

Suddenly the Demon slaps her away with one of its wings and takes to the sky.

It shrieks out in pain as it climbs into the sky safely out of Toukas reach.

Or so the Demon thinks.

Touka looks up at the air born Demon and smiles.

She slashes her short sword into the air towards the Demon and yells out Fires Breath.

The s***h of wind from her sword burst into a flame like it came out of the mouth of a fire breathing dragon.

The Demom evades but as it does Kenshin slices the air from below creating his wind blades.

One of them hits the Demons wings and the Demon begins to fall.

As it falls Touka jumps in for the kill but at the same time Kenshin goes for the same thing.

The two collide luckily not hurting one another but in the midst of the confusion the Demon escapes.

Dammit, Touka yells out. That damn Demons luck seems to never run out.

Kenshin looks at her and replies we were over zealous this time. But next time that Demon will die.

The two disappear back into the woods.

THUD!

BANG!

What, what was that. Renji ask as he gets up out of his bed.

What was that noise that just woke me up?

He starts to look around.

THUD!

He hears it again.

He makes his way out of his room.

He can hear something or someone.

It's coming from his parents room.

What, what is that weird noise he ask himself again as he tiptoes toward the sound.

The door is cracked open he can see shadows moving.

What is that..

Suddenly he's jerked to the side.

It's his sister she pulls him into the shadows by his arm.

SHHHHH! She says.

What, sister what is going on... wh.

Tomoe places her hand on Renjis mouth silencing him again.

He looks and sees the expression of fear on her face then he notices the tears in her eyes.

She quickly looks away.

Renji pushes her hand off his mouth and yanks himself away and says out loud, What is going, where are mom and dad?

Shut up! Tomoe shouts but it's to late.

THUD!

A noise from there parents bedroom.

The door slowly opens and Renji sees his dead father on the floor.

It looks as though a tiger ripped him apart.

Renji let's his kusarisama chain unravel out of his hand.

The sickle stops right above the ground, Renji clutches his weapon and yells out, Father!

He rushes foward but then comes to a stop when the black shadow in the corner seems to move.

The wings of the Demon slowly open revealing itself out of the shadow.

In its arms is Renjis dead mutilated mother.

The Demon bites into her again ripping off a large portion of her chest and throat, then it rips her almost in half and throws her bloody corpse to the ground.

Renji can't believe what he's seeing is it a bat or a bird, some kind of hideous monster.

Am I even awake or is this a nightmare.

He's so frightened so confused, he can only look on as the Demon licks its bloody claws.

The Demon then opens its wings and gazes its green eyes into Renjis.

Renji falls under its hypnosis.

The beast quickly comes at Renji it sinks its claws into Renjis arm.

Suddenly Tomoe comes out of the shadows wielding her ninja katana she cuts the Demons arm, the arm that has its claws embedded into her little brothers arms.

The rotten blood leaks into Renjis open wound.

The Demon pulls out its claws and the sharp pain causes Renji to regain his senses.

He sees the horrific beast in front of him and quickly uses his kusarisama to attack the chain wraps around the beast neck and Renji yanks the chain causing the sickle to stab the Demon in the throat.

The Demon flies upward making Renji loose his chance at a killing blow.

Renji pulls his chain back and twirls it.

The Demon flies upward and burst through the roof making its escape.

Tomoe yells at Renji, Wow you defeated it! Amazing she shouts as she begins to run toward her brother.

All of a sudden the beast swoops back in grabbing Tomoe in its claws.

Renji screams out and gives chase but can't keep up with the flying Demon.

He runs and runs listening to his sister yelling, crying for help until finally he can't hear her screams anymore.

He falls to the ground crying.

Nooo! No!

He cries out as he cries the Demon blood coursing through his veins begins to change him.

He begins feeling darkness and the hunger for human flesh trying to take over.

His blood boils.

But the hunger for his revenge is much stronger and his sheer willpower for that revenge prevents him from changing into a Demon fully.

Instead he gains incredible supernatural power.

He uses that power to hunt down and kill Demons as he embarks on a quest to find the winged Demon that slayed his family and stole his sister away from him.

He lives only for revenge, honing his skills and becoming more used to his Demon powers.

Soon he builds a reputation and becomes feared and hated by the Demons.

Its nighttime a family riding back to there town on horse and chariot tries to hurry.

Hurry up the lady tells her husband.

Hurry I'm afraid, you've heard the rumors about people going missing at night, about the winged monster that preys on women. We have to hurry.

Settle down the husband tells his wife we're almost there.

Suddenly the horses come to an abrupt halt.

What, what is going on.

He opens the door to his chariot. Then quickly slams it back shut.

SHHH! He tells his wife.

BANG!

Something jumps onto the roof.

All of a sudden claws rip through the ceiling and grab the woman.

Oh No! It's the winged monster she cries out!

The Demon pulls the woman in closer and licks her on the face.

But then suddenly theres blood as the woman falls to the ground.

She picks herself up and notices the monsters claw is still holding her blouse.

She quickly grabs it and throws it off.

Finally! I've finally found you. A mysterious voice yells out. I've found you and now your gonna pay, your gonna pay for what you did to my family, for stealing away my sister and for what you did to me.

The woman looks up and sees the young ninja boy his eyes glowing icy blue into the night.

Her husband grabs her back into the chariot as the Demon jumps onto the ground.

Renji let's the chain of is kusarisama unwind from his hand and he starts twirling it into the sky.

His glowing eyes shimmer off of the chain making it look luminescent.

The Demi-Demon let's out a shriek.

Renji kicks the sickle from his kusarisama with his foot it flies behind the Demons head and as it does Renji twirls the chain around his body then pulls it causing the sickle to come back.

Swoosh!

It slices one of the Demons wings in half.

Renji pulls and catches the sickle and while he does he kicks the heavy weight at the other end of the chain towards the Demon.

The chain wraps around the Demons leg.

The Demon attempts to jump, lunging towards Renji. But its unable to move.

Steam suddenly appears in the air. No it isn't steam its condensation from the ice that has formed all around the Demons leg that the chain is wrapped around.

Now you dam Demon you will die from the very power you cursed me with in thus my curse will become yours!

Renji yells out as he begins twirling his sickle over head.

Frozen Rain Shower!

He yells out and out from the twirling chain rains frozen needles all impaling the Demon bringing to its knees.

Time to die...

Touka appears out of the woods.

Kenshin, she yells out! There's 2 of them and they appear to be fighting.

Kenshin yells back, you take the ugly one I'll handle the one with the chain!

The two separate and ready themselves to launch there attack.

Touka rushes toward the winged Demon. The Demon is on the ground and hasn't noticed her yet.

She jumps into the air and yells out Lava Rain!

Her purple eyes catch into red flames and she throws her daggers down below her at the Demon. As the daggers descend the catch onto fire.

As the burning daggers make impact with the Demon they break the ice off of its leg.

The Demon no longer frozen in place immediately takes to the air.

Touka hits the ground then draws her short sword she has tucked into her belt above her skirt.

Not so fast she says while smiling. She then jumps up thrusting her sword towards the flying Demon.

Something catches her eyes. A glimmer, it's the chain from Renjis kusarisama.

It zips past Touka causing her to flip backwards bringing her attack to a hault.

Out of my way! Renji yells out. He then yanks his chain back and twirls it readying for another attack.

All of a sudden Kenshin appears before Renji.

That's a fancy weapon, to fancy for the likes of Demon scum like you. Kenshin says to Renji as he grips his sword. Now ready yourself, I'm your opponent!

Renji flicks the weighted in of his chain towards Kenshin making Kenshin back off a little then Renji quickly goes toward the winged Demon.

Out of my way you idiots your going to let that monster escape, Renji yells out!

SSCCHHH!

Kenshin pulls out his sword and once again cuts Renji off.

Now that's not to nice, what can't you two Demons play together nicely? Kenshin ask.

The Demon swoops down for an attack at Touka she flips away avoiding the attack then goes in for her own attack.

Kenshin and Renji begin to battle.

Renji uses his ninja mobility to nimbly avoid Kenshins power full attacks. He throws his sickle and Kenshin blocks it with his sword.

Touka throws her daggers hitting the Demon in the wings. The Demon begins to descend and as it does Touka jumps in for the final blow.

As she does Renji once again throws out his chain blocking her way.

Nooo! He shouts out! That monster is mine, I alone will kill it and exact my revenge for my clan and sister.

Kenshin grabs ahold of Renjis chain and pulls it knocking Renji off balance.

Touka jumps back up and takes a s***h at the Demon just missing it and amidst the chaos the Demon makes its escape.

Dammit! That damn Demons luck strikes again! Uugghh, Touka shouts out in disappointment.

NOOOOOO! Renji yells out! Nooo, you let it, you damn idiots, I told you get out of my way!

He turns his anger towards Kenshin and Touka and launches an attack with his kusarisama.

Kenshin repels the chain and tells Touka, stay back this ones mine. Tonight you die Demon.

Renji twirls his sickle over his head and yells out angrily, Demon! You i***t your letting the Demon get away I'm no Demon. Now I have no reason to fight or hurt either of you so just step aside before it gets away! That dam Demon is gonna pay for slaughtering my clan.

Clank! Clank! Swoosh! Clank! The sound of the two weapons colliding fills the night air.

Kenshin and Renji battle fiercely.

Step aside before you get hurt, I have no reason to fight you. Why are you letting that monster escape. Renji yells out again.

Touka notices Renji is just a boy and that he is wearing the same ninja uniform as the ninja in the village the winged Demon attacked not to long ago.

Oh no she thinks to herself. Is he? Could he be a young ninja from that clan? If so his people died because I was to late, because we were to late. Oh No! I have to stop this.

Clank! Clank!

Let you go, Kenshin says as they continue there fierce battle. Nice try Demon but you won't be killing anymore humans. No tonight you die your reign of blood shed is over!

I'm not a Demon I keep telling you, Renji shouts out.

Renji twirls his kusarisama then throws it but Kenshin uses his sword to catch it and entangle it.

Kenshin yanks Renji over towards him getting him close enough for him to strike.

NOOOO! Touka yells out! Kenshin stop!

Kenshin looks up at Touka, he unravels the chain from his sword then all at once thrust foward aiming straight for Renjis skull.

NOOOO! Touka yells out.

Renji opens his eyes. Kenshin stops his sword with the tip of it pressed against Renjis skin.

NOO! Touka yells out as she jumps in the way and grabs Kenshins hand gently lowering it.

Why? Why are you protecting this Demon Touka? Kenshin ask.

His, his uniform, look at it Kenshin, Touka replies.

Yeah what of it?, Kenshin ask.

It's the same as the clan of ninja the winged Demon butchered not that long ago. The clan we were to late to save Kenshin.

Look at him. He's he's just a boy and he doesn't look like any Demon. What, what if he's like me, like you Kenshin, Touka pleads with Kenshin.

The clan you didn't save? What what do you mean? You mean you knew this thing was out there? You knew it was killing people and, and you didn't stop it,? Renji shouts out angrily with tears in his eyes. My people my entire clan, my sister are all gone now. And to top it off you interfered allowing that monster to escape. Now, now its gonna go do what it did to me to someone else.

Touka kneels down and wipes the tears from the boys eyes. I'm so very sorry for, you see we are Demon hunters..

That doesn't make it alright!! Renji yells out. If if you are Demon hunters then why, why did you let it escape. Why were you busy fighting with me?

It doesn't make it alright Touka tells Renji. I'm sorry. But maybe, maybe we can help each other. Like I said were Demon hunters. We will find and kill that Demon.

NOO! Renji interrupts, No I alone will kill that dam monster. I will make that monster pay for what it did to my clan, my family for stealing my sister. For, for making me whatever I now am. I will use this power to kill that monster. I will have my revenge and then maybe my people can rest in peace.

Touka stands up and pats him on the head.

Well at least come with us for tonight. You must be hungry, she tells Renji.

Kenshin yells out, No No way! No way is that little brat coming with us. He can use his power to make a snowball or something. Eat that!

Kenshin!, Touka shouts out. He's just a boy. Besides we owe him that much.

She turns her attention back to Renji. I know he doesn't have the best personality and he does happen to be a pervert always sneaking peaks at me whenever he can. But if you put that all a side he does happen to be a great cook and he can probably teach you a few things about hunting and killing Demons.

Renji looks up at Kenshin, the two glare at each other.

I don't think I want a dirty letcher teaching or cooking me anything, Renji yells out!

I was never gonna cook for you anyways you little brat! AND I AM NOT A PERVERT. You have no idea what kind of woman Touka is I wouldn't trust anything she says, shes probably just trying to seduce you stroke her own over inflated ego!

Kenshin and Touka begin to fuss and argue.

Renji puts his head down and thinks to himself these idiots are more immature then I am and I'm just a kid. Do I really want to go anywhere we these morons? Well I am kind of hungry so.

Sure he says out to the two shouting and arguing! Sure I will go and eat. I am hungry and besides after interfering you owe me that much. I just hope he can cook better than he can fight.

Kenshin pulls his sword still in its sheath out of his belt and hits Renji in the head with the wooden scabbard.

The only thing I owe you, the only thing you will be getting from me is an ass whooping you dam little...

Touka hits Kenshin in the stomach. Kenshin! Stop being so mean, she shouts as she turns to Renji with a smile.

Renji rubbing his head looks up at the smiling Touka and for a brief moment sees an image of his sister.

He then looks up at Kenshin who is still murmuring to himself.

The two catch eyes and glare. Touka and Kenshin fuss again. Then Touka reaches out her hand to Renji and says come on with a big smile.

Once again Renji sees his sister, a tear forms in his eye. Touka kneels down and wipes it away.

Your gonna be ok she says. So let's go eat.

Renji grabs her hand then looks up at Kenshin who is still mumbling to himself.

Don't worry he grows on you eventually, Touka tells Renji.

He's not so bad once you get past that rough exterior and I promise you he is the BEST COOK!!

They begin to walk Touka and Renji hand and hand. Renji let's out a smile as they make there way to there camp.

Kenshin follows a good ways behind mumbling and griping the entire time.

A new chapter begins for our two heroes and our newly added young ninja boy.

Just what does the future have in store for our heroes.

Will they catch the winged Demon allowing Renji the young kusarisama and ice weilder to exact his revenge?

And what of Renjis Demon blood?

Will his revenge silence the darkness brewing in his heart or will he eventually succumb to the dark evil powers now lurking within?

The three warriors join forces for the time being and they set out on a new quest in there ongoing battle against the Demons that are looming casting a dark shadow over all the land.
