“The police are on their way,” I called after them as Dr. Mann yanked Weslea away from Dorothy and I clutched Dorothy’s arms to restrain her too. “Go wait for them and send them back here ASAP.” Dorothy gave up her fight and sank to the floor crying. Since Dr. Mann had Weslea firmly in hand, I snatched up the vial on the rolling cart and read the label aloud. “Potassium chloride. Is this dangerous?” “I refuse to go to jail,” Weslea screamed. That answered my question. Finally, sirens blared outside. They were close, possibly in the parking lot. “So I was right,” Dr. Mann said. “You killed him, didn’t you Dorothy?
