I stared at Eve, not sure what to say. To my surprise, her lips suddenly curled up into a smile.
"Wait, that means you are not human. You are like us, but probably without a wolf. Make sense. I was surprised my brother, who hates humans, would allow a human to freely walk in his apartment," I heard Eve say, and I was not sure how to react to that. "So you are a wolfless she-wolf. I am surprised you reek of human," she added. "If not for the fact that you are carrying my brother's pups, I would believe you are human," she said, giggling, and I frowned.
"Hey, it's okay," Eve said, upon seeing the frown on my face. "I am not mocking you," she said. "I didn't get my wolf when I turned 18. I got my wolf a year ago. I am an alpha. I have an alpha blood running through my veins,"
