My hand trembled as I laid my hairbrush down on my dressing table, staring at my reflection blankly as I tried to compose myself. I didn’t need to see a doctor to know that it had been caused by the exhaustion that I was facing, that I was trying and failing miserably to fight off. I knew that I had no choice other than to calm down and try and make some sense of my emotions, especially if I had any hopes of getting some sleep.
