The walk from the doors of the dining hall to the table itself, was a walk that felt longer than any of the others that I had experienced. I couldn’t help but feel like I had somehow walked into a death trap, one that I couldn’t have had any hopes of fleeing, even if I had managed to recognise it before I had walked into it. I felt like I had a very good reason for referring to this as a death trap, and I believed that there were many others who would agree with me in regards to it… It was a trap, because instead of their being a designated seating chart, instead of everyone understanding where they were required to sit, the council had taken it upon themselves to control the seating arrangements, and now, here Dae and I were, walking arm in arm, and they must believe that they had done
