I opened the window quietly, crawling in with a slight groan. The room was surprisingly empty to my satisfaction. I listened attentively to try and hear where everyone was but remembered that the walls were soundproof. I wandered downstairs, looking around to see Grayson and his mom having a deep talk on their living room couch. They hadn’t seen me yet, so they were speaking freely…
“I have a bad feeling about her, Grayson.”
“Mom, she’s a good person. If anything, she should be cautious of me.” I frowned, wondering what he meant by that. Could Grayson have something up his sleeve that I didn’t know about? As I studied his stature and expression, guilt suddenly flooded me. Ryder was wrong to do that, I know it wasn’t my fault but… I felt guilty for a lot of other reason
