The relationship of Melinda and Lucas had all the makings of a great romantic comedy mixed with the drama of a daytime soap opera. By the time they called it quits, they weren’t even on speaking terms. Their animosity spread through the group, and it damn near divided everyone. They finally had to put the quarreling duo in a room together and tell them in no uncertain terms that they would not choose sides and they’d just have to deal with it.
“Well, how about this. How about we take things one day at a time and see where that leads us.”
“I can do one day at a time, Richie. I’ve been living life like that for a while now.”
Richard let out a sigh of relief and offered to help Rain with his packing. Once they were done, Richard asked Rain if there was anything else he could help him do.
