Chapter 4 - *Seth’s POV*

I overheard everything that Ares said to Sienna but the final yell of her parents being dead was like an arrow. All Si tried to do was strengthen the pack. I remember her fathers saying “The strength of the pack is the wolf and the strength of the wolf is the pack”. She was silent, deadly silent before the words “burn in hell” was heard and she ran out of the office door nearly swinging the door in my face. I followed her to her room and knocked but she told me to go away.

I sat outside the door quietly giving her space but all I heard was her soft sobs as she asked for her parents to come back. My heart ached for her.

Minutes became hours and she still hasn’t left the room, I slowly got up and unlocked the door entering into the room and saw she was fast asleep on the bed, passed out crying maybe? It brings back memories of when she had nightmares and would ask me to stay with her. She was so cute back then with her big eyes full of hope and wonder, every wolf was in love with their little princess when she was born.

I layed down beside her and as if she registered who I was she snuggled into me gripping my clothes. I stroked her hair remembering all her birthdays when the whole pack would celebrate but this year would be different, even though this was the biggest birthday of her life, turning 18 and finding her mate.

I’ve had a feeling she would be mine since every time she hurt i would hurt in return but i can’t tell if that's the Gamma wanting to protect his Luna or something else. There is a big age gap between us but us wolves don’t care as long as our mate is happy.

“Don’t worry Si, i will get us out of here… i will keep you safe”

I promised your father after all.

*Ares POV*

She raced out of the office in tears, ache went through my heart, goddammit!!

Everytime i get a little closer to her I end up taking 10 steps back. I want to mark her so badly, mate with her and protect her but how am i supposed to do that when she is constantly making me look weak? I am anything but weak!

My anger surges as my wolf growls loudly for hurting his mate, suddenly the papers go flying off my desk as a loud snarl comes from my chest. Man he’s mad.

I retired to my room late that night to find she wasn’t there but I could smell she was most definitely in the pack house still, i followed her scent to her old room, twisting the doorknob and entering i was not prepared to see that my mate was snuggled in the arms of her Gamma, both sound asleep. Grinding my teeth I called for my Beta to meet me here, He came as fast as he could and was wise of him to cause i was not in the mood for disobedience right now!

I eyed my beta to the gamma as i slowly picked up my little mate and carried her out of the room, the way my hands were perfectly fitted on her body was amazing, she snuggled into my chest and i couldn’t help but stop and looked over her - why did she have to be so cute!

I layed her in my bed beside me and held her close. Soon she will realize who I am and then we will properly be Alpha and Luna, i can't wait for that day to come, i know her birthday is only a few days away and that the pack celebrate it together but this year will be different, no werewolves will be seeing her, she will be all mine.
