OPHELIA.
"Ophelia!" The door to my room slams open with a loud bang, making me flinch so hard I nearly knock my laptop off the bed.
I quickly shut it and tug my sleeves down over the red marks on my wrists.
Odette walks in, arms loaded with books, a bright smile plastered on her face. She dumps them on my desk with a dramatic sigh, and rushes over to me, sitting on the edge of my bed.
"Odette?" My voice comes out hoarse. "W-what are you doing here?"
When she reaches for my hand, I instinctively pull back, tucking it into my lap.
A flash of annoyance crosses her eyes for a second before she masks it with a sweet smile.
"I came to check on you, silly!" She pouts. "You've been hiding away in here ever since you got back from campus. Are you okay? You look like you've been crying."
