Unwanted Slug

3486 Words
Travis I am so over everyone. Syline is a virus that won't go away. Cullen has been nothing but a damn waste of my wife's time. Somehow on top of them all, the one person that urges me to kill at sight is PERRY. I can't stand his smug face every time I see him cling to my wife. My wife! My f*****g mate! I have threatened emails up to my ass, yet this guy will straight up in my face threaten to take my wife for himself like one day she will just pick him and leave me. That damn slug needs to f*****g go. I trust her. I do. His presence just gives me high blood pressure. My mind occupied with never to lose my wife again. It flips quickly to kill mode when Perry smiles around Elizabeth, like making her grin as if our lives have been switch. Perry is a f*****g pest that needs to be dealt with. In a surprise of events, he isn't chaining himself to her side like he has since he arrived weeks ago. f**k, it's been more than just a few weeks, way too damn long pitifully. "Are you lost?" He looked at me oddly. "Excuse me?" "I asked if you are lost." Again he flexed his brows. "Your precious firework or shall I say my wife and mate isn't at your side for once." I said as harshly as I can in a calm tone. He chuckled, "oh, Travis old pal. She's close. Trust me." He pats his heart like that meant more than some innocent friendship. Bastard. "What the hell do you think this is? A vacation? Some redemption?" He's not worth redemption. "I simply came for what was mine." He said with his chest. Mine rumble back. "Get one think f*****g clear, old pal, she is mine." Perry laughed. My claws fisted. "Keep stating that. Just Pétard and I-" "Elizabeth. Her name is Elizabeth." I stomp closer to him. "She is not your lost love or whatever you call it. She is my mate and my f*****g wife!" He wasn't fazed one bit and it pissed me off more. "But are you treating her like one?" "Watch it?" "I have seen quite enough. And from it..it's clear you love her and yes she loves you." He troll around me. "As clear as I seen it you seems to hold yourself back. She knows you are trying to weigh her down and in reality you should raise her up." "What the hell do you think we have going on, a picnic. All I do is for f*****g her. You and everyone else wouldn't understand that." "Then you should treat her better. She isn't your equal. She's more than that." "Elizabeth is mine and if you even try I will kill you, I don't care if she hates me for it." "Keep up the falsehood, you'll trip over and she'll find herself better off. And I am always, always a call away for her." He grin. "You don't know a damn thing. We are not best friends anymore, Perry. You have no claim or closures between Elizabeth and I's relationship." "Then prove to me you'll give it up like you say to her you will." My eyes widen to his words. Knowing he must of claw into her mind for that. "You truly want me and everyone else to believe you'll just walk away for all of this for her. Well, Travis. It doesn't show. You are more Alpha than mate." His final claim hit a deep wound from the dark. Back as kids we had seen the trail of fallen Alpha mates. And in the title an Alpha always picked his pack over his mate. That he wouldn't give it all up, that in the end he was always able to just find another. Whether he or she falls short. My mind scowls in the idea that everything I've done may not be enough. That maybe I was holding her back. That my tongue held back was pushing her away. Was I failing her more than I thought so? f**k. "You want to see my proof?" "If you can?" He scoffed. "Even a small act, old pal." "For all times how about we roll up the sleeves?" I bet. "What's the call?" He seems to take the offer just like we had solved any problem as children's. "Who ever bleeds out more shows their true token for Elizabeth. Mine is everything. Including leaving my title. I have it written if you truly don't believe me." He thought it out as his hand probe his back. "I guess mine will be simple. If you fail and she sees that. I'll take her back. I waited years for her. I can wait more. Trust that in writing." As much as I wanted to chew him up for that past, I took it. Hoping this will shut him up for good. In Perry's eyes no amount of bodies I kill, no words I declare, not the wounds I heal for her meant a damn thing. I had faked nothing. We headed inside for a match. We allowed the room to stay it's peace. And as we set our stretch, a grin from each side made it clear we both weren't backing down. Normally the room will fill with opponents grunting in defeat. But I didn't want anyone to rant to Elizabeth of what is going on. "It's simply between Perry and us." Agreeing with Malcom, Perry and I had set up. Both our eyes sharp to win. Clipped in we fisted out first. It all brought out a nostalgia moment for us. "Still got that quick comeback." Perry licked his bloody lip. "You still predict the next move?" I mock him. He was always a mind fucker. No surprise in his gift. He was quick to think, even when he was placed on his ass. "Just like old time, Travis. Don't hold back." His twist of his body angle out to wrap my leg, I was catch but jump back in top. His little slice burn but I pulled through it. My claw will make each cut when my blows take a miss. Perry knew he can miss and still attack. It gave us both an ache to jerk forward and lay a hand in the other. Even with a mild of blood dripping down us both, our panting was range in the start of it all. Just like we were as kids. That one grin and drop of blood started a whole other match. A full drive to never stop against your enemy. We both trained with that knowledge. "As a good man as you are. You are ashamed of your rage and for what? You took pride in what your family built -what you built." He barked back. "If you're not gonna be true for her, someone else will." A slice through his attack cuts near my throat. Perry was hitting deeper. "I love her." "And your anger won't change that. So show you will die for her. Now!" As we butt head in the room filled with something new, I see a flash of young Perry who talked back to edge his opponent more. Good or bad, it worked. With the match lasting not long as we would wanted, a clear female Alpha screams into light. "Are you both out your damn minds?" We stopped. And as kids, we'd always smiled in the face of trouble to show we don't care to be caught. "Ah, the adoriness of a fine woman makes any man crazy, Mon Pétard." She scolded him in her head, I see it. Perry took to the floor and meets her. "This grand ego s**t is not cute." Her green light eyes cuts to me halfway through her words. In pride I rise my brows in joy. "Quite cute." He displace. I roll my eyes in his tongue of flirt. I take her space and see how her hands glowed. She was ready to do something and he thought it was safe. "She's gonna attack. Distance won't save neither of us." My distance was near but I wasn't about to get slap. "We're guys. And I warn you about this. This was an easy resolution." Her eyes cut to me and clear as her wrinkled nose, she wanted to slap me. But I did warn her again and again. "I am not having it with neither of your s**t. We are not enemies." "We're not friends either." I remind her. "Pétard." He said softly as his hand tried to touch her shoulder, and she snaps it off. I hid my chuckle. "No. Anything you say isn't helping. So I made a call knowing what you two idoits were up to." We looked at each other. "Who the hell did she call?" Her hand walked up and a spiral-like portal pops up. An unknown space was shown. And then a woman appears just inside. "Sorry, Luna. I should have trusted the hints." "No apologies. It's clear testosterone issues than the other bullshit." Amy nods as she steps back. Perry looks at her and as he goes to open his mouth, Liv scowled him hard. "No. Amy, I told you. Pétard, I can't- " Perry yells as Elizabeth kicks him in, leaving Amy to deal with him. I lean over the ropes while I steady my panting. Locking my eyes to hers. Dangerously. Doesn't take a blind men to see her pissed. "Get dress and meet me upstairs, now." I lay my hand out, asking for a towel. She does so, placing in my hand I grabbed her back. Which in far I guess owed me her red eyes. I let go and watched as she storms off. Yes. As a puppy following his owner I did what was asked with no bark. She took me to the study and we sat down on the couch. I pour us a drink, waiting for her to yell and whatnot. "I can say I won, baby." I praise with a sip and she snatched it out my hand. "Fine. Talk. Pity the Slug." I lean close to her. "At the end of time you are mine. Any beating heart can say you were or will be theirs but you, Elizabeth, are mine and I will proudly gouge each tongue out." Still not changing her expression, she huffed. "Why can't you just trust me and ignore those idiots. You think I don't know I'm yours?" As the man I am I have to show it time and time again. She is all mine. "It's not you, it's them." "Ugh." She shifted. "I heard him say something about your rage. What was it?" I remove myself from the couch. Standing before the fireplace. She calls my name softly and follows behind. "I don't want you to feel as if you can't tell me things. But don't you go hiding from me." She tugs the back of my shirt. Laying herself against my back. My body stiff to every past flare I had. To every time I adore it rather than hate it. When the craving started and never ended. "You won't see me as the man you deserve." She squeezed me to my words. "You'll leave me." We don't feel fully worthy. Feeling her remover gave me the chills. Her steps over to stand before me, her eyes greener than before. "There is nothing in this realm that will ever make me leave you. You are the one thing I live for. Without you... I'm not me." Cupping my cheek I whined to her ease. "Don't hide any part of you." Fuck, this woman... I'm not enough for her. I need more, better, stronger, wiser. I can't fail her. Closing my eyes to her warmth touch that is partially cold, I nod. Readying myself to tell her. She will hear my dark comfort now. And after she will decide if she is disgusted by it. "Growing up was more than just knowing how to be an Alpha. I had to be The Alpha. My father made me train in brutal condition to strengthen myself, physically, and mental. I knew course of pain before Malcolm. And not once did I falter them as anything but lessons because my dream was to be Alpha. The best and taking whatever meant it. Even the wounds from my own damn father." My eyes creased to open. I thought she'll walk off. Seeing me damage and psychic even. "Tell me more. I'm here." Her voice was tender, urging me closer to her. Everything swallow me to tell her my craving. And as she stares up to me, taking my air like it's all I needed- and it is. I ask, "do you ever fear me?" She jerked in a painful way, answering quickly. "Never." "Mm." I hum. I step back, walking off to the couch we sat before. My mind trail and soon she followed. "What is keeping my Alphas away from me?" I whined again. Unworthy. She takes a seat and palms my hands. I felt a spark crawl through me. After it all I had to tell her. Allow her to see my darkness. "Perry had recall a time. One that started a blood lust." Saying the words I looked up and she never looked away. She just waited, waiting for me to explain myself. "I was young. Younger than most. We used to have gatherings here. At one... I heard a cry for help in the woods along with aggressive growls. Following it, I saw a male taking advantage of a young girl. Seeing that made me mad. I never thought it out but as I attack, blood was everywhere. The scene looked as if a true wolf had attacked. Perry saw and helped me clean. The girl was scared of my presence after and cried a thanks. Perry tried to say it was good but all I wanted was to rip every flesh off that man. Any who dare the same. That was the first to trigger me. Little things triggered and I'd always had blood on my hands. The first year was so much I woke up in the woods drain of blood and dirt. I needed to kill to feel anything. I was just a wolf and then Malcom came. He helped and added some." "And you're ashamed of that?" I said nothing in that but then needed to tell her why I can't befriend her Slug. "Soon after a so call witch almost had a bite. He went mad at a gather. Mason and I tried to get him to calm down. He almost made us repelled the treat we have with his family." "Perry?" I nod. "10 years ago. He attacked more than one of us. He just snapped. Burned Mason in the act, and when I tried to stop him he pleaded with his eyes like he wanted to die. Yet the whole time of his outburst he kept talking about betrayal. Our kind was never equal. That he lost someone because of us. He was hurt. I saw it but at the time I was still confuse and he broke from my grip. Saying he will never forgive wolves for what they've done. That we just see meat on pretty innocent bones. His eyes... I couldn't." He wasn't all wrong. As Alpha I worked in instinct, I didn't care if my act of cruelty was seen justified or not. "That's where it all happened. The rumor of evil witches, and your friendship?" I nod again. "He was talking about my death then, wasn't he?" Our eyes met and I feel embarrass to feel such way. "No one knew at the time. We knew nothing. I hated him for what he did and said. It grew over the years. And now with his praise to you he just adds on." I tighten my hold to her. "I couldn't express a full state of rage like that to you. Not like that first attack and you left me. I see blood and I can't bear to have you look me in the eyes afraid of me. I want to change that but it's hard. Everyone wants to take you from me and I-I" I sucked the air in. "I want your full love. But that part of me can not be love. You wouldn't love that part of me." She slaps me hard. I stay silent to the sting. "You don't get to make that choice for me. I love you for you. You don't get to say what I'm afraid of and what part of you I can love or not love." "I don't want you to regret us. Because we are not equal." The couch dipped closer from her figure wedging on me. Her saddle had my claws out. "In all honesty, your anger isn't new." I hated to show too much when it was her. That first time made her leave. And I'm lucky to have her back She wiggle her body and I held her hips. "I love you. And your rage wasn't just some rage to me. I felt the true act of it. In most time I'm turn on, I like to tease you to its point." "One day you'll grow sick of it. See me different." She grabs my hands, bringing them to her chest. "No, Sweet Wolf. Seeing you in that part is your true emotion, your strength and I love it most of all." "We find it too much. It's why others call our pack vile wolves." It was like we still lived in the primal time as only wolves. Not once has Elizabeth pulled away and seeing how she craved in. Her scent floats around, making me question why I'm failing her if she loved me. Truly love me and my dark. Why did I hide? Her hands roamed up our face, holding on tight. "Follow me, Sweet Wolf." I was honesty too exhausted to argue more. Therefore, I obey my mate. Following her through the house. Reaching the other side we met the door I keep lock. "Elizabeth?" She says nothing as she opens the door and we enter. I took a glance at her and back at the a restored piano that held every memory of my mother. "D-Did you do this?" "Perry did." "Elizabeth. He isn't.." She gripped my arm, "I know what you think, but this meant something to him too and he was aware what it meant to your family. You say he's a bad guy but that's not fully true." My need to hover over body to steal every air breaks. "His intentions isn't well." He's a f*****g pest. Her step closer to me made a heat wave out. "I know his intentions and I had made it clear to him every time. I trust him." Trust? Really? The bastard leeched too deep on my wife, my f*****g mate. And she let him. After every warning, she let him. "And at one point in your life you did too." No words, neither of us spoke now. Stepping off, I take a seat to stare at the piano. Allowing my fingers to brush a key. "Can I play for you?" "Later." I know my eyes dim when I snap to her. She caress my face and I knew a tear fell. "I know I said I didn't know but I do. It's one song but I know it." Elizabeth gave me such a look it was one my mother gave me too. "Then yes." And I did. At the end I leaned my head onto her shoulder, she combed through my skull gentle and gave me comforted. It's crazy to think it, me, comforting in the arms of my mate I don't desire. I never thought I'll experience comfort before. "But now we do. Because of her." Fuck. I love this woman so much. I'll return back to my primal for her. "Believe it or not, no everyone is against you. They're not your enemy." I sigh in defeat. "He just f*****g icks the s**t out of me. He's trying to-" "Don't you start! First Mason and now Perry." My body stringent to her tone. "You are not just any person to me. But him. He just.." a growl ended my sentence. "He does it to piss you off. Believe in me enough that I'm yours and no one can ever take me away from you. It's quite insulting you think I'll fall for it." My fingers begins to brush her hair down, taking her in. "I'll work on it. But reminders are nice, Little Witch. Seeing you in my affection is everything." "Only yours, Sweet Wolf."
