Liv
By morning the heat was still painful. My lustful mates used that as their advantage and got what they needed. Me too.
Given our titles, I refuse to lay in bed during these times. He argues, but I had a special drink to hide and ease my heat for a few hours. That gave them peace and we carried on.
Taking more time to see another, we spend office time together. As this moment has it, my Alpha needed my presence.
I can feel my mates eyes on me, hard and mind wonders in filth. While my brother Mason plays in boredom with a desk toys.
*Knock Knock*
No words, I wave my hand to open the door. Perry walks in as I'd called him. I turn to see no Cullen who I advise Perry to grab, searching eyes, I landed to the hall where I can smell him. He's probably avoiding seeing his mate. Mason.
"Almost done." I tell him.
By now I can feel many males looking at me. All with different ways.
"Wonders. Seeing this is envy." My eyes side to him. "Travis is in deed in love with the hearted eyes. And may I say... I didn't think he shares but Mason does make sense. You three seem satisfied."
All eyes sharped to Perry who held such a look we all wanted to slap him for even talking.
"Enough of your assumptions."
"No surprise when most Lunas have relations with their Gamma, but I guess Travis thought out the box. He just forget Mason had his eye on you first."
Oh ,Perry just pokes and pokes.
"Motherfucker, she's my sister." Mason roared.
Travis pushed his chair back hard, ready to tell Perry off. My hand got to him fist. "Relax."
Sucking on my sour treat, I removed it as I stood. I held it, my mate takes it into his mouth for a quick suck.
Holding it out I stand in Perry's face. I was quite tired of him thinking I had fallen for more than my own mate. That I was like the others.
Waving my lollipop around, I stare him down. Little did I know Perry will do and I uncalled thing to keep the tension high in the room.
He snatch the treat out my hand and takes it for himself. You can hear him suckle the flavor heavily. My eyes widen as my mate growled to him.
"Don't get it mix up. You may see me on the field knees deep and all. But anywhere else I'm the least person to be on their knees. It's starving even." I tell him. Telling the whole room really. “Acknowledge the truth that I give no mercy in many, many forms of ways.” My eyes flick a red as my tongue slid around my fangs to warn him.
Perry shock with jelly eyes while the sound of Mason choking in disgust. With heightened ears, Cullen is heard with the same outdoors while my mate howls in agreement.
In any part they wanted to read on they all understood.
I can see Perry froze in shock. So I remove the lollipop and walk to the trash near my desk, tossing it in.
"I'll meet you soon. Lunch?" Travis's eyes flicker and I see Malcom's eyes poking up.
I agreed with a kiss and return back to Perry who was here to attended to the field with me.
Before we leave, Perry says. "I'm gonna admit, I am truly terrified of you in a good way." He smirks as does the others.. all their faces read pleased. "You're the only one, Travis's shows." He added. Finally admitting his assumptions are wrong.
"Good. All of you." I responded as I walk out the office.
After a fail attempt to get Cullen to train with our high rank warriors, I made time to get him on a field now.
I had texted Perry to receive Cullen. The three of us make our way to the an empty field as Milow takes watch.
I take my stand before him, Cullen gave me wild eyes and held no guard.
"I can't fight you, Luna."
"Why?"
"Umm." His eyes shift to the others around. "It's not right to man handle a Luna. It should be full respect."
"Mm. " Grabs a long stick. And another thrown to Cullen. "I'm aware of your training but don't know much of your skill. You were train as Beta, yes?" He nods. "Show me then?"
"Luna, I can't."
"Your pack favorited weapons. So for now, show me why Devin chose you as his Beta. And it's an order." He nods and trains.
I know how he may feel, it didn't matter how long he stays here. He will feel out of place. At times I do too. However, he is useful and I won't allow him to fall behind.
We went easy at first but then he began to show me his skills. It made me happy to see him let his walls down. Even when others hated him. He didn't care. He could beat others on his training. But he was still far behind. He held back. Or maybe the Phoenix Sons didn't do well for him.
"Good, Cullen. Very good." A proud curl appeared to him.
"Thank you, Luna." He bowed respectfully to me.
"In time you will train with me or a skill warrior name Kan. Otherwise, Kan will supervise you."
He bows his head slightly, "understood, Luna."
Through our time together and now his training, I wondered something about Cullen. I can sense more but did he knew?
"Tell me this, Cullen. Why did you wanted to be Beta? Or was it just forced on you?"
He tighten to my question. I hit a nerve. Good.
"It's all I know."
"I'm aware of your situation. Your closeness to your prior Beta. But why did you wanted to be Beta?" I asked once more.
Cullen seemed so confuse like the answer was simple. These titles aren't easy and yet he understood his place now, but still kept his training. It meant something and he went in instincts.
"I'm not quite sure how to answer." Cullen seemed defeated. I felt bad but I know he knows his role.
"Sure." I sigh in a disapproval. He fell silent and frown to the answer he had given me.
Stepping away a bit, I talk privately with Milow. Our backs are turn.
We lowered our voices and go over Cullen's skills and an our last talk before meeting. I figure this would happen and it was necessary.
Milow played a big part and concurred what he had. His hand fell behind me and waited the small time to set my danger.
Before I can question, Dear Cullen had threw his spare to attack and knocked the weapon from
Milow's hand before I was attacked.
He stood back with his hand up, as for me, I turn with no praise. I knew Cullen, he had a quick eye and saw how Milow's hand wave to me with a swing.
"You will not hurt Luna!"
Quickly I stop Cullen as he held the weapon before Milow now. My hand placed over it, lowering it to the ground.
Cullen's expression questioned me and my smile. "That. That is your answer, Cullen. Good job."
Saying it proudly Cullen still seemed confuse but I wasn't. I was more aware now.
"Why is she like this? Was it a trick or could she be.. She an odd creature, that's for sure." I heard him whispers under his breath.
I didn't find that insulting, just more curious to how he thinks. And he does think.
I run my rounds, making a quick stop to check on my Sweet Wolf.
A strong scent of hot metal and Smokey charcoal hits me out of others. Besides the three Blacksmiths at work, I see a very eager, shirtless worker.
"How's the molding coming along?" I asked.
"Hello, Luna Sister." The witches greeted me with a bow.
"Hey, baby?" Travis's expression was like a toddler. Adorable as ever.
"Hey, yourself."
"Look what we got done. Another basket." I follow to the wooden table. Seeing quite some numbers of special made blades. "Feel them."
I take one out and feel for the material. It was perfect. The shape and all. It edge in a black color that welded in a toxic from the witches, it sharped fine to catch any enemy to hurt them. It was a new weapon we skilled for us.
"They're lovely. Keep it up, baby." Travis gave me a kiss as he jumps to help the others.
"Brother? How's the special task?"
The main Blacksmith who started it all from the approval of my father takes my attention to inform me. "It is coming along, Luna Sister. The shape is almost done. And once that, I can set it in place to hold the weight as you requested. It's a an honor to do this. May I say... Brother Caden would be proud."
I grin deeply to his words, hoping Father would be proud.
"That is good to hear. We will all honor him always." I ran my hand over the metal he worked on for the item for Father. "It is thick as is his sacrifice and centuries of honor."
"Coming together, I will have the right witches to implant the proper magic. If needed it will work."
I nod, happy as we build a special hand gloved in the image of my father to work as if it were him. It will embody in the skin painfully to connect the nerves for those in control, honoring his gift. Yet this item is meant to hang specially as a memory. And if something does happen, in need. We may have to use it in some future.
Just in case.
"Thank you. You boys continue." Saying goodbye. We left a few feet to allow them to work.
I stop to search the ground. Taking in the people that build a home.
"I didn't think witches build weapons for war. Is that needed?"
"They are. Always."
"I don't understand all this, Luna. You are a great weapon. You evolved your wolves more. What ended some evil in your past? Why does it seem like you're still preparing for a battle beside the one with Luna Syline?"
"Okay, Cullen. Watch your words." Perry warns.
"Wait no. I heard the stories. We all had. But it changes. What's truth and what's not? Why do any of this? Why pity me? Pity any of us?" He asked.
I sighed and I wonder that many times. Not pity but the result of bringing us all together. Some
May say it's a consequence or a sacrifice.
"I will show you the truth to allow you to have the understanding."
Grabbing Cullen's hand his brows flex. I reach for Perry who pulls back. I gave him a look and he returns with his own.
"No. Your mate- your husband would not approve of this. I don't."
Scowling at him, he can see it was no fight. "It's fine, Perry. I have no shame on my past."
Perry took a minute to look around. I understood his hesitation. Appreciate even. But I'm okay with revealing it all to Cullen.
Finally he gave in, sighing heavily with roughing his hair back. "Non mi prenderò la colpa di questo. Mi hai costringi." (I will not take the blame for this. You forced me.)
Aggressively I nudge my hand again. He reaches and ordered us to close our eyes.
With my approval and set of memories, I made it clear to what was shown. In a quick flash-show Cullen was able to see and maybe feel what it was like for me. After a quick clip it was all over. Our hands release from one another.
Perry held a harsh scowl and I pay no mind. I watch Cullen's expressions that change as he clicks it all in.
"Now you know which rumors were true." I stated.
"Luna." He said cautiously.
My hand rose to stop him. Whatever he wanted to say I just couldn't hear. I know what most people think after hearing it, from him I won't. "Save it. It is lunch time. Come you two."
The day seemed fine as usual, you would think lunch as a pack and coven would too.
We all took our seats and chatted on. My mate was at my side and never allowed a free hand to miss a chance to touch me. To know I'm here.
The room felt so peaceful, connect as family, but then a smell hit me. I turn to see the items being placed as center pieces. And when one was sat in front of me I froze. The hair on my arms spiked up.
"Where did these come from?" I asked the witch who takes a seat.
"The boxes from Luminis recently. Aren't they lovely?"
Words dry up my throat. They weren't lovely. They may naturally signal a respect and bond to our coven and Ancestors. But they hold a different perspective for me. Specifically these kind that held an unusual scent that only I recognize.
In just one sniff, those days roamed back into my mind. Sage had used these as a lesson, a harsh one. The smell weaken my body that bleed the ground, it sent hallucinations of my failures again and again. I saw my death dangling each time she placed one.
I felt trapped as I stare at the item, in the second I was, it was taken away.
"Hey, don't touch that!" The girl shouted.
"You need to get rid of these. They'll make wolves sick. Worse for vampires." Cullen's voice hit my brain as I flow back into the room.
"You're such a lair. Some wolves helped and no one complained but you."
"If they have this particular scent." He sniffed the item and made a face. "They will, in time we'll get sick. So again, get rid of it." He warn her with a tone I had not heard from him. It was firm. Superior even.
The girl jerked and before she can say a word, my mate spoke to defend his claim. "Burn them all. We won't take any chances."
The girl nods to the Alpha order and informs the others, quickly the items were removed.
"You want to take a walk? Get some air?" Travis whispers in my ear. I shook my head no, then he placed a chaste kiss on my cheek to help ease me back.
Hearing footsteps walk away I turn to grab Cullen's wrist. Our eyes connected just like earlier after he saw my past.
My lips part to say thank you but he had beat me to it, patting my hand he spoke lowly and say, "understood, Luna."
He heads off to a seat far. Turning back I still looked at where it once were.
"Very unique." My eyes flex straight to see Perry playing with one of the items. "Your mother did used magic known from the other realm. It was a cruel technique mixture." He said.
Paying no mind I tried to push back it all. Forgetting everything, I had moved forward, I cannot sweep back in.
Fuck. It did. It hit a nerve.
I'll be fine, It'll be fine. I need to center myself. Bring myself back. Breathe, breathe, breathe.
.
.
Cullen
Took some time but I think I'm starting to understand.
I recall back to the fire pit- back to the moon celebration, all the males hang around. We spoke and it lead to her way. Luna's unique way of it all.
Each one, Perry, Mason, and Alpha. These men who seem to know her well had said quite the same thing about her.
Luna knew pain, every type she knew. Her special gift that was not given from her Ancestors but part of herself, she heals those who are hurt beyond. It was like she can sense it within them. The pain.
And then again, I recall the time she came down after my captive, her touch, that sensation she gave off, it was painful but it allowed me to speak afterwards.
I was in great pain then.
Was that saving me? Was that what it was then?
I had no clue but little by little I'm understanding Luna more. Her taking me at her side, helping, bringing my stands tall, she wasn't pushing me off like I believed she would.
She even knew who I was before I did. I'd never question it, when it came to her, I-I protected. I shouldn't have, I'm an enemy just being a traitor to my own pack, my Luna. It is Luna Liv who I will take a blade for even without demand.
What the hell witch crap did she have on me?
I showered off everything I could from this day. My body and mind needed to just reset itself.
"f**k, I need a cigarette."
Reaching in my drawer for one, a knock was heard. I was gonna walk to open but remembered where I'm truly at.
"Your free will to enter."
The door creaked open and shut with a click. In one fast second a divine smell took not only my nose, but it started to flood the room too quickly. My heart started to race and I couldn't stop it.
"I need to.." He paused like the words were trapped.
"Can I help you, Beta?" The words felt cold.
His eyes roamed out. "What you did earlier, for Liv... thank you."
Thank you? Did he really just... okay.
"Mm."
Mason lifted his eyes and it clicked to me. A hearted cage.
"Why did you?"
"It was a simple act for Luna. I acted on my instinct." I was truthfully. "I don't expect anything in return if that's why you're here, Beta."
"I- I would explain it but it's her past and-"
"I know. I got it." He gave me look. It fixated until he understood what I meant.
He steps closer to me and the air changed.
"I don't need you to take advantage of that. Do you plan to?" His words faded in a slow cage.
"If you're asking where my trust is among her. I won't seek harm. Luna has.. she surprisedly made me felt accepted and I owe her."
"Just her? No one else?" He steps more closer and the image of him biting his lips had my heart racing like things are not what they are.
"I know I said the things I did before. All the assumptions were wrong. Your protection for her is understandable now. I see that."
I took a brave move, my own walk. Two steps and he was right at my reach. However, he was the one that reached out.
His finger brush my hair out my eye view that willingly falls down. "Do you? Do you see the differences?" I nod as his finger brushes down my skin. "Tell me this one thing... Cullen."
The first time he said it and my eyes locked on his. My skin burned.
"Ask me."
"For the one person you will break your old bond to, will you be okay with that betrayal that will haunt you? Are you truly willing to just betray what you're train to be- just for a moment?"
A moment. Is he asking for something more?
"I can't go back." A linger of pain hit my words and his eyes flicked in a sorrow. He pulled away and I grabbed his hand, shaking my head.
"There's things you don't understand if the betrayal goes on more."
"I don't expect you to tell me now then. But don't reject this so soon." Ending our space, I let his hand touch my waist where he gripped harshly. "If all that's ask for me is to break, it'll be because of you. Only you can break me in any forceful way you desire. Make me scream and then muffle those screams, but it's you."
His grip tighten, my body leans in. The part of his lips calls. Releasing his touch he roamed up and I held him close. A demanding hold to not leave, stay.
"You'd betray your past vows just to break this one time. Even if it's one time?"
His touch roamed my Adam's apple, testing.
"Yes, but I won't denied others, Mason. Moments just moments." My breath was heavy and he knew.
He tilted his head like his brain was rewiring. I worry he would stop and say it was wrong and he couldn't, that he would leave or we would just fight.
But instead, instead his hand found its place. Caged eyes and he says, "good. Very good."
The world stopped when he pulled in and our lips touched. Not only was my skin on fire now, my insides were too. He took everything with just his kiss.
Falling back onto the bed he brushed his body onto mine. I felt him rock hard. I felt his lust that may just be lust to him.
"Be a good mate and just for break me, okay. No words. Behave and break." He demanded and when I try to respond he covered my mouth with his hand. "Behave I said."
My c**k grew fully then and I nod like the mate he wanted me to be.
Removing his hand, he looks down to my body. Seeing the lump he caused. Reaching back my gaze, he gave me a cocky grin. "Good. Now I'll break you."
Over and over again I did. He was forceful in every way and not once did I break my silence for him.
In a panting mess we lean against the headboard. I look over to see him smiling happily. Pleased that he broken me in his way only. But that doesn't mean things are different. He can change at any moment.
Silence, break it and this ends.
He meet my eyes and as I chuckle to freed another taste his eyes falls back to a deep cage I knew he was fading back to.
"Things are still temporary."
Of course they are. I hum and turn away as I dig into my drawer and pull out my cigarettes. As I go to light one he yanks it out my mouth.
Mason gave me an unpleased look, one in ordered of how I received them since I'm a prisoner.
"The Perry guy got it for me."
Mason slit his gaze. "Don't set your room on fire. That's a quick death."
And he took the cigarette for myself.
With just one short kiss, he re began his leave.
I had no words, but when my mate the back to me I saw his wolf flares his eyes with a grin. He chewed down his lip as his thumb runs over mine. "Don't mind his grumpiness."
"I like it. A lot."
His wolf whose name I don't know, willingly kissed me. Not just a kiss, one so deeply I felt it in my bones. Even my c**k jerk to force it had behind it.
Happy by that, he left.
At the end I must remember this was just a moment. That's all we are, a flicker of moments even.
