Liv
This woman has some nervous to keep returning back. I recall the stories Travis had told me. Even Alpha Vio. I read the fascination she had with my mate's father. Yet this woman would not give up. And neither will I.
She wants a show, okay. Push me and I'll push back. Taunt me and I'll bite.
Luna Syline is a unique type of person. Looking at her you wouldn't think she would willingly get her hands dirty. But my guess is if you provoke her enough like us, she will.
That's why she keeps returning. That's is why she keeps trying to get under our skin.
So here we go again. In time again, wanting to get a raise out of us.
"Welcome, hybrid. Why the long face?" She provoked.
"Have you forgotten something, Luna Syline? Given you forgotten your place isn't here."
"Aren't we both questionable about that?" My eye narrow to her, her underline remark.
"State your presence! Otherwise, shut your mouth. Just because you're on the other side of that gate doesn't mean I won't wrap my hand over your throat." Travis warn her, yet Syline is never bothered by him. But you can see the Beta she brings is. I heard a race in his heart. A jerk in his step towards her.
Her savior. Lover.
"I'm just making a quick stop. Site seeing and all. I love this land if you recall, boy." She flares to Travis.
"Don't care."
She clicks her tongue to us. Her displeased was nothing new. It was the one thing the world gloats in our faces.
"So much corruption here." Her nose pecks the air. Once her chin sharp down, marking each of us, her lips twisted. "The audacity of you folks. How do you sleep at night, Alpha?"
Travis smiles wickedly. "Next to my hybrid wife."
She looks at Perry and ask him, assuming he frowns on the ideal of co-exiting. He chuckles a grin at Syline. "I think of his hybrid wife."
The moment was so cunning on my face, while Travis's grin at Syline despites Perry's comment it set it all. Her remark meant nothing to us, and it showed.
Her gasp jerk her body. A satisfied placed on all our faces. Yet why was she still cutting her glare at me like she thinks she can win.
"Well. You may have made your place on a home soiled for wolves. You may of forgotten the others."
Others? What is she talking about?
"Dear hybrid. Your life has change so fast... had me wondering what you left behind." She cooed as she caressed her chin.
"What are talking of?" I held every anger. My mind flick to wonder.
"Hm." She pats her chin. "I did guess you folks will react to my visit here. So I visit a sweet old place of yours." Syline sighs as she walked closer and drops her eyes. "But since you resigned your old life, I helped light a match and it flamed so quickly." She giggles.
My eyes widen and I knew what each little hint she was giving. My stomach turned.
Snapping my head I turn to my mate. "Travis?"
"We're going now."
"Swell visit, hybrid." Syline waved as her and her lover leaves.
My mind flashed nonstop as we raced into town. I held my stomach and prayed it was true. Syline just wanted to get under my skin. And just for a split second I allowed her.
She used my past and innocent people to try to get to me. And whether her words are true, she'll pay for her threat.
"No line. I called." Perry shouted from the backseat.
All I can do is regulate my breathing. Fixating my mind on what to do if the place was in danger.
Making a turn you see a crowd and it all hits back to when I found my home on fire. Old Liv was weak and useless.
Not this time.
"Elizabeth, wait!" My mate called but I raced out the car.
Authorities shut down the road and the damn humans stand around dumbfounded. I found the Chief of police and ask what's going on.
"People are trap. We haven't been able to reach anyone nor get near the building. My guess a certain being had something to do with it and that fog inside is thickening more."
I looked around and understood what he meant. The fog wasn't just ordinary fog. He failed to mention the taint of color. Despite that, we couldn't do s**t if getting to the building was a problem.
"Move the line further out. I can cut the tie and deal with it safely for your men to save the victims." I tell him.
"Got it." He nods and ordered his men to block the sight of my magic, shielding the humans who have no idea of the supernatural beings.
Before I can make my way toward the building, both Perry and Travis grab my arms back. Demanding for me to pause.
"It's a race of time. The thicker that fog gets, the people in there will suffocated. Once it reach a limit of space the whole building will blow up." I tell them.
"Damn wolf had a witch fight her enemies." Perry snickers.
"So what can you do?"
"Me and Perry are gonna cut the veil. With the both us it'll be quicker. After that we get in and find the spheres to shut down."
"Don't go absorbing some other bitches magic. You'll harm yourself." I see loving husband's concern while Perry walks off to start his side.
I take my mate's hand, "I don't have a choice. People are in danger because me. Perry will cut half the veil and once inside, I can scent out the fumes."
Clearly he wasn't pleased with his heavy sigh. "Fine. But I'm not leaving your side."
I bite back my tongue to warning him the fog will sting his skin. Like little flicks of fire touching him. I knew he'll still stay at my side regardless.
Perry and I get to work fast. Taking just a few minutes, Travis was able to bust into the building to help us smell out the sulfur in the air. The witch had mix it with an earthy scent so the humans wouldn't know. But I can tell.
"Pass through the pain, the hotter it gets the closer you are. She must of placed a few."
"How do we know how many she made?" Travis asked.
"The fog will loosen. Hurry!" I tell them.
Ignoring the burning flesh, we made it through the entire building until the fog was damn near gone. All we had to do was crush the spheres with enough strength. Damn b***h had 6, they ran slow but still.
Once we finish we informed the police chief of the buildings safety. They headed in and rescued each victim. But that wasn't it. I underestimated that b***h.
After just a few rescues the building just exploded. It happened so fast. I tried to race back but felt the wrap of my mate's arms around me.
"The humans got it."
Everything inside me wanted to argue, I knew how fast they worked, but I watched as they did sprang into action.
My breathing heaved and then my eyes caught a view of someone near by, they were watching us. Not the building but us. They flinch at my eyes on them and I smelled their wolf scent.
Travis had let me go once my body ease and I used that to catch the wolf. His speed was nothing close to mine, I had him pin against the brick wall. My red eyes demanded answers.
"She just wanted to know if you saw."
"Fine, but since you're here? Send a message then."
I was done. She wants a reaction. She'll get one.
"Perry, give it to me." I ordered.
I had Perry secure a special item for me while he's still at my side observing. It will work on Phoenix Sons wolves. Thanks to Cullen's blood it will at least.

Aster runs herself high when it comes to her ambitions. And as hers has been this pack, the damn hybrid Luna has taken over her time.
Every day it is something new. Something that has to do with toying with her. She has meetings back to back with that damn witch she brought here.
Underlining, Aster will avenge her son. Beyond that, she will avenge her image. Her pack and everything along with it.
"Ah. I wish I can see her face. Oh no! The books! The store! The humans! Blah, blah, cry." She mocked the hybrid.
I take her side, "I'm sure she will understand now that you do not play nice."
Aster giggles. "Oh, that was fun. I can't wait to hear from her. Have her beg to me."
"Of courses, Aster."
All she wanted most was to bring that girl down.
Awaiting for news, our scouts had returned. Aster jumped in joyed and took her seat to hear every detail. And every detail her eyes sparked to.
"Perfect. Perfect. She tried and still she failed." She clapped in her success.
The scouts stand a bit distant and I smelled resistance.
"There was also one more, Luna." One scout says.
Aster's eyes read excitement, but looking at the men it said other. "Oh, do tell."
He step closer to her and before I can step forward he had some kind of weapon reach out and cut Syline. She falls as I shove the scout far from her.
"What the hell!" Aster shouted.
"Luna, stay down.." I shouted as the second scout came around and held me back. "Stand down! Stand down!" I ordered.
"This was meant for you, Beta." He said behind me.
In the reaction to his words and hostile I was pierced with the weapon that magical melted itself inside me. I screamed in pain as I fell into a dark pit slumber.
Everything around was dark, my eyes had to adjust. When I sniffed the air to get a sense of where I was, A harsh curl hit me.
"Beta. Beta. Beta. Aren't you dearest to her?"
My head spun around to find a figure far by. I say nothing as I waited for it to approach me.
Her giggle filled the air as I didn't respond back. A soft growl snarled through my teeth.
I turn my view to search more and as I do I felt trap against a male with no wolf scent. I fought through his hold.
"Do you think you shall suffer for her doing? Is Luna Syline worth that much to you?" In a blink of my fought the hybrid was at my sight.
Her voice, her scent, her eyes, it all. It's terrifying but I hold any sign of that.
My heart rocked and as I have her face to face my mind floated else where. Need to know.
"I want my son back. You can take me for whatever offering you plan. I'm a better asset. Give me my son back." My demanded longer to a plead.
Her head tilted to my words. Her hand scraped the air and then my skin. "Your son?"
"Is he alive? Cullen?" I asked her.
Her face falls deeper as her nail dig in my throat. "Focus, Beta. You chose one over another."
I shook my head not understanding. "Punish me. Not him. I won't tell a soul if you just tell me if my son Cullen is still breathing."
She pulled away. Her eyes search me oddly. "You are so fixated on her. You're too close. You're lucky I don't kill you now."
"If you give him back I'll won't fight you in it. Please. Please." I bite the words.
"Are willing to betray the one you love for a deal?"
No hesitation I answer, "does that mean I get him back? My son, alive."
Her eyes looked so glowing when I answered. "Whose life is worth more, Beta? Because as I know it she doesn't care to hurt those close, she doesn't have a heart to love beyond that. You blindly aside her."
"You killed her son. alpha Travis and all the other Armani men humiliated her again and again. What do you expect from a woman like her."
"To shut up and stay put. She barks too much. Clearly it kills, don't you see that?"
"She will not stop, there's nothing. But I'll help."
She laughed. "Help? What Beta will betray his Luna so quick? What are you wanting for your broken vows?"
"All I want is my son back. If you hadn't killed Jim yet."
"And if he were dead? Would you still howl for me?" Her voice lace down.
"Tell me Cullen is still alive. I promise we won't use that as a motive towards you. I won't. Luna Syline has her own. My son is mine. Tell me, please!" I shouted as she took my throat into her hands. Squeezing.
"She doesn't care for anyone but herself. Keep pushing and you all will see." She warns me. "She touches my people again and K promise I will kill one of hers."
It was true, I'll be dull to think she won't kick back from a hit from Aster.
She may be match even worse. I knew that. We all knew that. She was wise monstrous young hybrid Luna. And we are utterly insane to take her on.
"I need to know. My son." I pleaded from her grip.
Nothing was more sinners than her deep red hues looking into me. Her kips curl from my body and I worry she'll say the words, tell me he's dead.
If you had bargain mine over this I'll do it. I hoped for it but she didn't. She cared about this game between her and Aster.
"My son, please?" I whizzed out. Before she snarl in a mutter.
"Time's out. Goodbye. beta Lucas."
I wanted to scream at her words, keep pleading if that's what she ask. I didn't want to leave, she was my only source of peace from my ache of nightmares. She was right her and now.. she gone.
Not getting my answers I was pulled out gasping for air. Aster grabbed my face, bringing back to reality. "Are you okay?"
I nod. Still catching my breath as I looked around.
Overview I see both wolves dead on the ground. I also see the damn witch standing near with the weapon fill with blood that drips the the floor. She aspects the weapon.
"Hybrid is always a step ahead. Bitch." The witch says.
"What the hell happened?" Aster snarled at the witch.
"It was her. The hybrid told me herself." I told her most of what Hybrid Luna said.
She wasn't pleased, more annoyed with herself.
"She's a child."
"A hybrid, Luna." The witch corrected. "The first ever. There's no tell of anything-"
The witch was cut off as Aster throws a fit. I make my strength to stand and ease her down. My touch alone helps while I held her strength against herself.
Scoffing out my embrace. "Get someone to clean this up. I need a drink."
"Of course, Luna." I bow as she stormed off.
My head stayed low as I tried to collect my thoughts. As I thunk back a hand wraps over my chest, making its way into my shirt.
"Oh, Beta?" She coos. "Come play with me and ease away what that hybrid had done."
I may of just betrayed my Aster in every way by speaking words I should had, I felt betrayal of my own for not fighting more to get my son's lifespan.
Biting my tongue on that. The damn witch laid a kiss on my neck, making me hiss out her touch.
"Your facades gift is nothing more than hers. You may bring into it to cause physical if not psychical pain in the nerves of the body but it's nothing."
She didn't seem fazed from my words, her hand goes to my expose skin. "Your seduction doesn't work don't make me cut you again. Syline can find a new witch." I warn her.
"You didn't seem to mind her our last playtime-"
"Psychical damage!" I reminded her. "Recall to the bite mark on her arm!"
She yanked her presence then. "Whatever, Beta."
Damn witch waved off and again was left to collect my damn thoughts finally.
I must protect my Syline from them all. She has gone far with this use of this witch. And that hybrid brings a new twist turn into her.
As much as I stay at her side. Syline alive is all that matters. She may be all I have.
My Aster.
