Rex entered the uncompleted building hoping he could lay his head probably till dawn. He had little scratches and bruises all over his body, he sustained it during the chase. His body was aching, he tried using a wet rag he saw beside him to clean the blood.
He placed his hands around his pocket in search for his phone, it wasn't there. He wanted to place a call to Laucey, if she would pick him up. She would be his life saver that night or maybe his hero. He decided to walk around the building from one room to another, steadily he was moving in to inner chambers.
The building stood tall and imposing, its windows cracked and covered in cobwebs. The locals whispered rumors of its haunted past, claiming that eerie sounds and strange shadows lurked within its walls. Rex,, fueled by curiosity and a touch of bravado, decided to investigate the building further.
Pushing open the creaking front door, Rex stepped into a dimly lit hallway. The air was heavy with an inexplicable sense of foreboding. As he cautiously ventured deeper into the building, the hallway seemed to stretch endlessly, making him question his decision. But his curiosity propelled him forward, and he continued down the corridor.
Suddenly, a gust of wind swept through the hallway, extinguishing the lone candle he had brought with him. Darkness enveloped Rex, and his heart pounded in his chest. He fumbled for his flashlight, which flickered to life, casting eerie shadows on the decaying walls.
With each step, Rex senses were assaulted by strange sights and sounds. Whispered voices echoed from unseen corners, sending shivers down his spine. Shadows danced along the walls, contorting into eerie shapes that seemed to follow his every move.
As he turned a corner, Rex entered a room filled with dusty artifacts. Ancient paintings adorned the walls, their subjects staring at him with haunting eyes. In the center of the room stood a wooden chest, seemingly untouched by time. Rex's curiosity got the better of him once again, and he approached the chest cautiously.
With trembling hands, he lifted the lid, revealing a collection of old photographs. Each picture depicted scenes of darkness and despair. Rexl's heart sank as he realized he had stumbled upon the remnants of a forgotten tragedy. A cold chill ran down his spine, and he suddenly felt an overwhelming presence behind him.
Slowly, Rex turned around, only to find himself face to face with a golden ring. The specter glowed with an ethereal light, he wondered if it was electroplated or refined. He wanted to touch it but gear gripped him.

The police of course didn't give up, they called for back up, they were so desperate to lay their hands on Rex by any means possible. They regrouped again like hunters in search of a sacred cow. They managed to place a tracker on Rex car while they were chasing him unknowing to Rex, that made it easier to find Rex.
A group of dedicated police officers joined the others at a particular location. They embarked on a mission to apprehend the notorious criminal Rex. They believed that Rex was the mastermind behind a series of high-profile robberies, leaving a trail of chaos and fear in his wake. Determined to bring him to justice, the police force equipped themselves with the latest technology—a sophisticated tracker that could pinpoint his exact location.
Officer Jhonny led the team, his unwavering resolve shining in his steely eyes. He had earned a reputation for her exceptional detective skills and unyielding determination. As he briefed his team, she stressed the importance of precision and caution.
The tracker, designed by the brilliant tech expert Officer Mike Johnson was a marvel of innovation. Small and discreet, it could be attached to any surface, transmitting real-time data to the officers' handheld devices. With this invaluable tool at their disposal, the team set out on their mission to capture Rex.
The city streets were a labyrinth, they followed steadily the direction of the tracker with their sirens off. They had to be on a low key. Rex might detect their presence if it was left on, they thought. It led them to the building where Rex was, they paused for a while, devicing a strategy on how to penetrate into the building, giving Rex no room of escape.
As the team entered the building, the tracker's signal began to ping on their devices. The beeping grew louder and faster, indicating they were getting closer. They moved cautiously, aware that any sudden noise could alert Rex of heir presence.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps echoed through the empty warehouse. The officers froze, their weapons ready. They moved into the room where Rex was, they saw a tall, imposing man with a devilish grin. It was Rex standing right in front of them.
Officer Jhonny locked eyes with Rex,, his heart pounding. She ordered him to surrender, but he responded with a mocking laugh, deep down inside he was terrified.
"The chase is over man" Officer Jhonny said pointing his guy directly to Rex forehead
Rex looked downward staring at the golden ring.......Can this be of help he thought..

Quietly, they passed through the window, moving from one room to the other on their toes, they dare not create a scene.
"Put those guns down immediately, nobody has to die, we could resolve this amicably" Anabella said pointing her g*n at officer Jhonny.
Jhonny turned to see who was talking, all the members of the crew had pointed their guns at him,
At this point, it was about to get b****y, a fight was about to erupt, the policemen had their guns directed at Rex, the crew had their g*n directed at the police, with a feeling of suspense in the air, Rex pulled out the golden ring, wore it in his index finger and then.......
He disappeared into thin air......
