Level up: My chosen one

Early the next morning, Lucas and Elena had formed a group with the other nobles, their mission was to teach Rex a lesson. They felt disgraced when Rex beat them last night, their hatred even worsened when Rex was hailed as the hero in the presence of the Lord.

The morning bell rang, it was the first bell of the day, it was time for everyone to wake up, every bell rung had their own meaning. Lucas, Elena and their coup we the first set of people to move to the stand for their blue.

They had a perfect plan on how to get Rex. They overheard him telling the lord the previous night that he was going to have a walk to the heart of the forest the following morning, or probably they were evesdropping.

After taking their blue, they stormed out in the direction of the forest, they had not been late. Rex was unpredictable, everyone knew him to be late to occasions but taking chances was not an option.

Rex woke up a bit late, his eyes were heavy, he slept late the previous night, he was up till about 3 o'clock AM. He rose from his bad and had to join the queue for the blue. He was the last on the queue. Lucas, Elena and their group were restless, they wondered if Rex has changed his plans. Some of them decided they give up while some decided to wait a little longer, they were determined to punish Rex.

Rex had taken his blue, he gathered a few stuffs which he used for training, the lord advised him to embark on personal training frequently to help him understand more about his powers. There is one remarkable things the lord told Rex that he won't forget "discovering it, harnessing it and the most difficult which was managing it"

Rex was close to the forest, he had his headset on, the volume was at it's peak, he wasn't expecting anyone around. Elena heard footsteps approaching, she suspected that it would be Rex, she peeped to confirm who it was, it was their prey Rex.

Elena came out from where she was hiding, Lucas followed suit and then the rest of the coup, they surrounded Rex in form of a concentric circle, Rex removed his headset wandering what was going on

"The chosen one.......Our hero* Lucas said mockingly, the rest of the crew burst into laughter

Rex was still dumbfounded, he couldn't analyse the situation

Lucas chuckled a bit and continued " How dare you huh.."

"How dare me what* Rex interrupted.....He didn't complete the sentence before a blow landed on his right cheek. Rex mind flashed back to the bullies he had received from his tender age in the normal world, and yet again in the underground world......he had to stand up for himself

He closed his eyes, connecting with nature, listening to the sounds of birds and tress, he imagined fireballs emanating from his palms, Elena could discern what Rex was doing, he signalled Lucas and the rest of the crew to attack immediately.

Lucas controlled beaches of trees, sharp objects on the ground and sand against Rex, Elena whose powers was the bending of fireball controlled fireballs from her hand against Rex. After continuous, Rex fell to the ground bleeding from virtually all part of his body, he couldn't defend him, he was too week( One of the secret of powers: It works majorly when there is strength).

They left Rex there very pale and weak, they were satisfied, "at least he won't get to stink up this world again" Lucas said aloud.

Rex was seen on a bed laying down with his white robe, he wondered how he got there, the lord was trying to use his supernatural healing powers to heal Rex. Rex was recovering rather faster than expected. The lord had found Rex on his way to the forest, the lord anticipated for his return, Rex didn't seem to be coming back anytime soon, he decided to check on Rex by himself, he was shocked seeing Rex in such a terrible solution. He ordered for a ride which took Rex to the kingdom.

After two days, Rex had fully recovered, he was seen walking to the lord's office. "They won't go unpunished he thought". Rex opened the door, the lord wasn't there, he then decided to wait till his return.

It was barely thirty minutes before the lord returned, " Why are you here son?" He asked

"Dear lord, that fateful morning, I was walking to the heart of the forest for my personal training session, unknowing to me, Lucas, Elena and some group of boys, they were all nobles, ganged up and put me in that situation" Rex said

What you are actually telling me is that, nobles did this to you? I thought it was maybe some group of animals?" The lord was a bit surprised

"Lord, they can't go unpunished, you have to do something about this right away, anything, just make sure they are punished"

The lord lay his head on the table, he felt for Rex, he seemed to be lost in thought.....He raised his head after a while and said " I wish I could help, but the protocols can't be uttered"

"What protocols?" Rex asked, he was expecting a entirely different answer from his lord

"In the upside down world, it's a jungle, it's survival of the fittest" There is nothing I can do young man

Rex was disappointed, he couldn't believe what he just heard, he stood up in dissatisfaction and stormed out of the office.

Rex was seen at the heart of the forest, he wasn't having his training session this time, he just wanted to be alone. The words of the master was ringing in his head " In the upside down world, it's a jungle, it's the survival of the fittest" he could hear it loud and clear..

He was a bit frustrated, he has a mixed feeling of rage and frustration, he didn't want any of them to take over him.....he sat on the ground for hours just staring forward.

He was sitting on the ground, immediately a gentle breeze blew at him, the breeze continued for a while and suddenly it started raining at the spot where he sat, it wasn't raining on other grounds for they were dry, he wondered what was happening. He looked up the the Skye and he heard a voice saying

" My chosen one".
