My heart was racing. "I'd be very interested in that," I said, trying to sound professional.
"Wonderful," Jennifer replied. "Are you available next week for a meeting?"
We scheduled it for Thursday and I hung up feeling dazed. Nordstrom, actual Nordstrom wanted my collection. I texted Julian immediately.
Me: Nordstrom just called. They want a meeting about carrying the collection.
His response came quickly despite being in a meeting.
Julian: That's incredible, not surprised though. Your work speaks for itself.
Me: I can't believe this is happening.
Julian: Believe it. How's the article?
Me: Really good. Amanda kept her promise.
Julian: Good. I'll read it when I get home. Meeting just starting, talk later.
Me: Good luck.
