Chapter 8: Brittany’s POV

Yay! It’s the day of the ball, the day I finally get to meet my mate! I run to Leann’s house because let’s face it she was still in bed. She mind linked me last night about what happened between her, Hunter and Lamar. I’m really surprised all she got was a slap. Lamar doesn’t take to disrespect to well but maybe he realized that Hunter was in the wrong and it would piss anyone off. I get to Leann’s house and of course I was right which isn’t unusual. I jump up and down on her bed trying to wake her up, it’s like trying to wake up the dead. I finally get movement out of her and with a quick swipe of her arm I’m on my ass. We just look at each and die from laughter. Get your ass up I told her we have a lot to get done in a short amount of time. She got up and got ready not fancy since we will just be changing just as soon as we get back. We head off to town an hour later and we finally made it. First we go to get manicures and pedicures, which is much needed for both of us. We both go with natural colors for our fingernails but I go with a maroon color and Leann goes with a teal color for our toes. After we get our nails done we head off to get waxed, definitely didn’t want to meet our mate not waxed you never know how quick y’all will go. We never really liked getting waxed but we do it because who the hell has time to shave all the time. After the excruciating pain that we just endured we left to get our hair done. We both decided to have our hair curled since we never got to wear it that way. Now that everything is done that we needed to do we head back to the compound.
