Zoe POV
Reluctantly, I leave the hospital. I am exhausted. I didn't want to leave Rowena alone with Tristan lurking in the hospital hallway, but the doctor assured me that she would be okay under his care.
The pack house is quiet when I step inside. As I walk past the dining room, I peek my head in to see the destruction. But it has all been cleaned. The blood stains have been cleaned up from the floor, and the dining room table has been replaced. It looks like nothing happened.
I try my feet as I walk up the stairs. My whole body is tense from the anxiety of the day.
Walking into my bedroom, I make my way straight to the bathroom. I am hoping that a hot shower will ease the tension in my body.
