    I stood on the opposite side of the trees to dress into a pair of shorts and a tank I had packed into my sack.  The boys waited for me in the vehicle. Once we were all settled, we decided to head to Gran’s diner to get a bite to eat.  I felt like I hadn’t eaten in days. Michael assured me it was a wolf thing. We took so long to get back to the vehicle that the sun had started to rise.  The diner was just opening as we pulled into our parking spot.       I followed behind the boys to a booth in the corner, and a young waitress came over to greet us.  She smiled warmly at us. Her hazel eyes bright and welcoming. She looked a little younger than me. “Morning Theo.  Michael.  You must be Lydia. Hi. I’m Nikki.  We haven’t officially met yet.” She held her hand out to greet me.  I
