    Pain.  Pain is all I felt as I lay trying to catch my breath.  I could see the stars in the dark sky above. Hear the growls of snarling wolves fighting all around.  Another explosion. I turn my head in the direction of the noise, but all I see is black. A mound of black fur and claws and teeth.  I watched cautiously as the wolf’s chest rose slowly. Up and down with shallow breaths.       I made an attempt to move my legs, but more pain shot through my body.  I can hear someone calling my name as a familiar scent invades my nostrils. “Lydia.  Lydia. Baby, can you hear me?  Come on, honey, we got to get you up.” “Daddy?”     I feel his arm reach under my back as he pulls me up from the ground and onto my feet.  I look around at the fighting surrounding us.
