Chapter 2

"Camila, did you sell out your kidney to Mrs Mel?" Zia questioned. She left her counter and walked towards Mila's stand in the store. "I don't understand? Why would I want to sell out my kidney, I don't like such jokes for Christ sake "Mila replied. She did the cross sign with her rosary and Zia laughed out loud. "I don't mean it that way. What I meant was that how were you able to convince Mrs Mel to buy the dress?" Zia rolled her eyeballs. "So are you laughing at my rosary again?" Mila questioned, giving Zia no chance to laugh at her because of her religion. Zia is quiet fond of that. If she is not laughing at her religion by calling her Christ daughter, she would either mock her by calling her virgin Mary. "No, why would I laugh at your religion?...but to be honest, I just feel like you are torturing yourself. I mean look at yourself, you're a beautiful sight to behold. You have the perfect shape.....and ..." One stern look from Mila made Zia talking. She went back to her stand in the store. "Mila, think about it. You need to enjoy your prime" Zia added. Mila hissed at the remarks she made, she found them ugly. She can't count the amount of times she had warned her not to say dirty words around her but she wouldn't listen. Mila had promised Sister Velerie that she would continue living a goldly life outside the convert. Mila had it rough from the very beginning. She wasn't born with a silver spoon in her mouth, she is an orphan. An ordinary orphan who was raised by reverend sisters in a convert. She lived her entire 22years in the convert, she had all her educations there too. Not until two months ago when she pleaded with the sisters that she wants to be on her own. She wants to make ends meet on her own too but she didn't expect that life outside the convert is so cruel and dirty. She has met different types of monsters in her two months outside the convert, well Zia is part of them too because of the dirty words she says. She also steal from the store. Mila kept mute about everything and kept on watching her. Maybe all these were the reasons Sister Valerie wasn't happy when she told her she wanted to leave the convert. Sister Valerie was the hardest one to convince, it took long for her to accept but with some conditions, one which is that she will continue leaving a godly life. And Mila had abided to that condition. She doesn't miss her praying hours, her rosary is always with her and her bible, inside her bag. "Hi, Mila. How are you doing today?" Daniel's cheerful voice brought her back to reality. "Hi Daniel, I'm fine. What are you buying today?" She asked, while returning his bright smile. "I'm glad you're fine today." Daniel said. He raised his hand and caressed the rose petal Mila pinned to her hair, she stilled from his touch. She wasn't comfortable with it but she kept mute. She knew Daniel as a great person, and asides that, he is a very good friend of hers. She grinned and move away from slightly. The look in his eyes was unnervingly, a look she doesn't understand not to talk of interpreting them. A shiver work it's way down her spine and she shook it off. "What do you want to buy today, Daniel" she asked. Zia coughed intentionally and left them alone. She wondered if Mila was dumb. Those men come for her, some with gifts yet she still doesn't understand what they want. Poor girl! Or has growing up in a convert also taken her sense of reasoning?" Zia thoughts. "I'm not buying anything, I just came to check up on you..." Daniel replied, maintaining a close eye contact with her. ---------------- Santos curled his hands into a fist as he watched the scene that played in the cloth store. He watched the bastard snake his hands into her hair... That f*****g bastard!!.... He watched Mila pulled away from the bastard, he couldn't help but to notice the innocence, palatable enough in her eyes. She doesn't understand the hunger in the bastard's eyes! Can't she read the desires in the bastard's eyes and understand that he wants to fit in his bloody phallus into her and make her drip of his c*m! Santos smirked. He could only watch what was going on but he had no idea about what was being discussed. "That bastard will die first. No one dirties Mila up but me!" Santo's said in his mind. He got out of the car and walked straight into the store, his face as hard as lead. "Can I get a hug before I leave?" Santos heard when he got closer enough. "No, you can't" he replied icily. The two of them turned back instantly. The bastard made a who are you look, while fear was the only expression in Mila's eyes. Fuck, she looks even more gorgeous. His phallus hardened painfully. The bastard draw a smirk "who are you?" Mila looked at the Daniel then back to the man who looked so dangerous, he is the scariest man she has ever seen in all her 22years. He has a pair of deep blue eyes, black curly eyes, a well clenched jaw, his skin tone is fair. He was built like a tank, he is tall and she barely came up to his shoulder. His left arm was inked with a scary tattoo and she was certain that his entire body was inked too. "Who are you instead?" Santos threw back the question to Daniel. Mila looked at the two men, indecision spreading through her. At this point, she doesn't know what to do or say. The more she stared at the unknown man, the more her instincts screamed danger to her. "What do you want to buy, Sir?" She finally found her voice. It came out shaking.
