I did something tonight that I have been trying to work up the courage to do for many years… I had a heart-to-heart conversation with Nixie. She wasn’t sleepy, and I have stayed on my awake-at-night schedule to see Diego at every possible opportunity, so I laid it all on the line with her. When I told her how I always feel inferior to her, she seemed honestly surprised. How she could not know is beyond me, but I don’t think she is a talented enough actress to pull off the shocked expression she gave me.
After I blatantly told her that she hurts my feelings when she puts me down, makes fun of my clothes, and jokes that I am not smart, she had real tears in her eyes. You’d think it would be a given that these types of things would be hurtful, but she seemed to not realize it or no
