Roman Orgy
Playing an extra in a big budget costume drama set in the glory days of Rome became the first legitimate film job of Violet’s career. The work was not nearly as rewarding as she dreamed it would be. Just a lot of shuffling from one place to another. Off stage. On stage. Then on again. After a scene in the Roman Bathhouse, she was on three hours later for the angry mob scene in the streets, and would return a third time late in the day to stand on the sidelines during an elaborate celebration in Caesar’s Palace where Violet played a peasant girl serving wine from a large vessel she carried on her shoulders.
