She met with her controller every Saturday afternoon to submit the weekly report and discuss any issues. It normally took an hour or two. She had arranged with Aki, that from there she would fly to Moscow and go to Kalinin to see Will, but would be back by Friday to write up the report. Aki was to keep the operation ticking over and tell people that Youriko had phoned to say that she was sick. They joked that if asked to be specific, Aki could say anything but lovesick. Aki had agreed to help willingly, but Youriko made her promise not to put her neck on the line.
