Despite his uneasy feeling that he’d revealed too much to Kelsey when he’d told her about his mother, he continued to open up to her, and she to him. Some part of him trusted her. Trusted her more than he’d ever trusted anyone. Even Silverback. Some part of him missed her when he went to work. When he came home to find that she was out running errands.
Some part of him felt that, against all odds, this marriage was … working.
