For a second I forgot how to breathe. I stood frozen there, my mind blank.
"The... full moon?" I muttered again in disbelief, eyes widening. Wasn't that a term from the fantasy novels and movies I read to Leo? How did it have anything to do with this place?
She nodded once.
"It's in three weeks.”
The words echoed inside my head.
Three weeks. It was long enough to escape… if I could find out how. Hell, I didn't even know where I was.
"What happens during the full moon?"
