Chapter 18

I was watching the pups play in their room, Oliver came up behind me, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. 

He said" We'll fix this and they won't have to be bored stuck in their room, huh?" 

I said" Yeah, we will." He held out his hand, I grabbed it," Where's Ty?" 

" In a meeting with the guards. He'll be back soon." 

" Okay. Has anyone checked the territory?" 

" Yeah, we have two betas patrolling as we speak." 

" And the ones injured?" 

" Healed up fast, we're good. We have everyone protecting our territory, Olivia." 

" I'm worried, Oliver... I don't want my children to grow up as I did." 

" They won't, I won't let that happen to them or any other kid in this pack, ever." 

" Thanks, little brother." I ruffled his hair, he laughed and nodded his head, smiling. 

" How do you think they're taking it?" 

" I think they're still a bit shaken up, like a lot... I hope not but god, who wouldn't be." 

" Yeah, I know. They're gonna be okay, Olivia, they're tuff cookies." 

" Are we positive about that? I mean... what if Rogue gets to them? He'd destroy all the innocence they have." 

" I won't let him do that to them, sis, I've got their backs." 

" They're nervous..." 

" We're all nervous, we just all gotta be brave and fight through this as one team."

I screamed" Run! Run!" I chased after the pups as fires out broke, all the teen wolves behind me." Everyone shift! Teens grab as many pups as you can hold! And run as fast as you can! Get to the Western Mountain pack! They're on our side!" They all nodded, I shifted, the pups all shifted, I lifted Aspen and Rio into my mouth, running fast. I saw the teens get as many pups as they could carry and run with me. We had all the pups in mouths, I took up speed, the teens followed my moves. 

We got to the western mountain pack, all of us dropping from exhaustion, I shifted into human. Their pack alpha was waiting, 

She said" What's happening over there?" 

I said" The Rising Oak pack attacked with fire arrows and explosives. My pack is still there, they need help." I panted heavily, 

" Okay! Go!" Her army of wolves went towards my pack, she lifted me up, steading me on my feet." We will make arrangements for the pups and yearlings." Aspen and Rio shifted to human and held my legs,

" They all took in a lot of smoke, what's gonna happen?" 

" We have medics, doctors in the hospital in town, we'll have them taken care of." 

" Aspen, Rio, go to Auntie May." Aspen and Rio walked to her, and held her legs, she nodded to me, I sighed and rubbed their heads. 

" Come on, kids, let's go get you guys some fresh air." 

" I'll be back as soon as I can, okay? Aspen, Rio, take care of each other, okay?" 

Aspen said" Okay, mommy." 

Rio said" Yes, mommy." I kissed their heads then shifted back into a wolf, the few 18 year olds followed me. We ran back to help our pack, we need to deal with this now!

I saw the damage done, and still continuing, I sighed... running to find Oliver or Tyler. I saw Rasha, I ran over to him, 

I said" Get to the Western Mountain pack!" 

He said" I can't leave them behind, I can't carry them!" I looked to see his grandparents,

" Stay right here, and don't move! I'll find you help." He nodded, hugging his grandparents, I sighed and ran to an 18 year old." Help Rasha and his grandparents to the Western Mountain pack, and recruit others to help the elderly. If they can't fight, they leave, okay?! Their safety is what's important." He nodded, running to help Rasha, I ran off, I saw Oliver on the ground. I ran to him, falling to my knees, He coughed and looked at me, his leg was bleeding. I whimpered, 

He said" It's okay, I'm Fine." I stood up, holding out my hand, he grabbed it and I helped him up." Where are the pups?" 

" With their Auntie. Where's Tyler?" 

" Fighting... somewhere, we were together then he disappeared." 

" Can you still fight?" He nodded his head, wincing from putting pressure on his leg." Oliver, it's not cowardliness is you're injured." 

" I'm fine." 

" Oliver?!" 

" Olivia, I'm okay, I swear. Just a bit cut up, let's go." 

We began running as fast as we could on two legs, we soon found Tyler. Facing off my father alone... No! Oliver and I ran to them, standing in between them. Oliver on Tyler's side, me on Rogue's, I was going to defend my pack and my family. 

I screamed" Why are you doing this, Rogue?! You kicked me out, you abandoned me!" 

He growled" Because we need more territory and an heir." 

" You will never have this land and you will never have my children! I will not allow what happened to me to happen to my children!" 

" You were nothing but a runt."

" I'm an omega! I am stronger and braver than you! My children will be stronger and braver than you! They will rise together and lead the pack as one! As caring and kind as Tyler and I have!" 

" They will be mine!" 

" No, they won't! You don't like omegas, and they are omegas! Both of them!" 

" You're lying! No one presents at such a young age!" 

" I don't lie! They're omegas!" I'm totally lying, but I don't care, as long as it will keep my children out of harm's way. He tried to claw me, I dodged him and grabbed his hand, digging my claws into him." You will leave this territory with all of your soldiers, or I will kill you right where you stand!" I snarled, Oliver snarled too, pushing Rogue away. 

Oliver said" We will kill you right where you stand!" He snapped his jaw, snarling louder, Rogue backed away, whistling. 

" Never come back or so help me... I will kill you." Rogue took off, his army followed quickly, as my pack snapped at them. I looked at Tyler, he hugged me, kissing me, we pulled away and Oliver hugged me. This was the turn of a new chapter, we were safe once again from the likes of Rogue.

I was tucking Rio and Aspen in, they were giggling and smiling at each other as they cuddled. 

I said" Settle down, pups. It's bed time, which means sleep time." Tyler came in and sat next to me, 

Rio giggled" But we wanna hear a story first!" 

" Okay, okay, what story should we tell them, Tyler?" 

Tyler said" How about the story of a brave, shy wolf?" I smiled, 

" Yes! That's it! Once upon a time, there was a shy wolf, she lived in a very big castle with a very mean king and queen..."
