Chapter 5

My entire body burns, my eyes opened and... where was I?... I scream, as loud as I could muster. Then I see Tyler, I freeze, staring at him, I try to stand up but pain shoots through me and I whimper loudly. Tyler rushes to me, gently nudging me down, and gets on top of me... our face an inch apart, his body hovered above mine. I was shaking in fear, staring into his eyes with a fearful expression... what happened to me? where am I? 

He said" Calm down, Olivia, it's okay... I promise." He gently nuzzled my neck with his nose, I relaxed a little, I'm safe with him," You were brought to my pack, barely hanging on... beaten and bloody... your father dragging you by the back of your shirt. He said that you're all mine, he never wants to see you again and if he does, he'll beat you to death. Our medics patched you up here, they wanted to take you to the hospital but I told them not to. They bathed you, patched you up and dressed you, you have too many wounds to count, they prescribed you medicine for the pain, I'll give it to you twice a day. We thought you weren't going to make it through the night but you did, I'm so sorry, I should never had scented you, none of this would have happened." 

I mumbled" I'm out of my pack... for good?" 

" You are, and I'm never going to let them near you again." I nodded my head," The betas from that pack were raping you?" I nodded, starting to shiver from fear," I'll never let that happen again, Olivia. Your father spoke proudly of all the terrible things that he's done to you or ordered others to do to you, I wish that never happened to you... I'm so sorry." He nuzzled and licked my neck," He told us you were nothing but a b***h to him, that he'll be glad when you're finally gone." He laid next to me, I nuzzled into his side, laying my head on his shoulder, my face nuzzling his neck, I whimpering, small tears leaving my eyes," I'm going to protect you, Olivia, I promise." 

" I know, Tyler." He wrapped his arm around and held my hand, rubbing my hand with his thumb, in a rhythm, my eyes fluttered close, I was so exhausted.

" Sleep well, my Luna." I drifted off into sleep, knowing I'm safe in his arms, he won't let anything happen to me. 

I woke up to Tyler nuzzling his nose against my neck, I whined and pushed his face away from me, He chuckled," Wake up, you need to eat. Do you like turkey sandwiches?" I nodded my head," Open your eyes, baby." I opened my eyes and saw Tyler sitting up, holding a plate with a turkey sandwich and chips on it, then a bottle of water, I whimpered as I sat up and leaned against the headboard." Take it easy, please?" I nodded my head," Here..." He handed me the sandwich, I began eating it slowly, carefully just in case my stomach betrays me. He watched me eat," I was thinking, maybe tomorrow you can meet my mom and dad? They'd really love to meet their son's mate." I giggled," Is that funny?" He smiled and poked my nose, I giggled again, he kissed my cheek and ate a chip," What's your all time favorite movie in the entire world?" my mouth gaped, he gently closed my mouth and I swallowed the bite.

I asked" How can you ask someone that?! That's like asking someone to choose a puppy or a kitten!" He laughed," Tyler!" 

" I'm sorry, I didn't know it was bad to ask someone their favorite movie." 

" It's Lady and The Tramp... lovers on different sides of society, hopelessly falling in love with each other, it's amazing." 

" Can I ask what would you choose, a puppy or a kitten?" 

 " NO!' 

 " Okay, baby." I began eating again, smiling at him, he smiled back and chuckled at me, I giggled and kissed his cheek, I'm really going to like being with him, I love him.
