Vincent’s POV: I studied Brian as he struggled to pull the sword out of his torso and free himself from the tree. I couldn’t tell if he was more enraged at the fact that he was caught, or because he was wrestling with the idea that he might have killed Rachel. I flicked he ash from my cigarette as I continued to watch him struggle. I knew that unless he broke the sword, he was stuck right where he was. But I also knew he wasn’t thinking clearly, he was just reacting. His higher brain functions were taking a back seat and he was letting emotion rule him.
