“Are you sure you are okay?” Byron asked as he watched Annette pill an apple at the foot of his bed. “Of course” she muttered using the knife, she slowly divided the apple into two and handed one over to him. “So are you going to tell me or not?” Standing from the bed she moved to the small table by the side of the bed and poured herself a glass of water. “I’m fine… honest” she took the water in one gulp and smiled staring at Byron who was trying to make sure that she was in the right state of mind. He took in a deep breath and decided to go on with it. “I told you I was working on some kidnap case right?” Annette nodded and placed the glass back on the bed side table, taking a sit next to Byron. “Yeah, I read through your files, wasn’t really comprehensive though”…. “Oh!
