Olivia Heczah arrived in Verlent a few days after Kyra left. Even though she sent instructions before her to Kyler, they were effectively useless. When she arrived in town, it was as though the king himself was visiting. The town crowded the streets, wanting to catch a glimpse of the woman inside of the carriage.
Kyler joined the crowd, standing outside of the physician’s home, his eyes fixed on her elegant frame. Her head swiveled gracefully around, seeking him.
