The arrangement lasted an entire week before the inevitable fights broke out. James was strangely civil to Emberly and Arran, even though she could tell it took all his patience not to yell about Arran and Emberly doing things incorrectly.
It became a rather fun game for her. When setting up the tent, she made sure to place the canvas upside down just to see the vein begin to show on James’ forehead. He told her to go find something else to do as he fixed her work. She and Arran just relaxed and watched James do all the work. This was a nice change of pace for her.
Of course, James would notice Arran and Emberly were not doing anything. So, he would send them to complete another job, which Emberly would do her best to fail at for the sole purpose of making James do it later.
