Nomi's phone suddenly beeped that distracted him from watching his favourite YouTube videos of F.R.I.E.N.D.S episodes. He is obsessed with the show although the show has ended a long time ago in the year 2004. He would always watches the show to entertain himself that he even imagined that someday he would want to be an actor starring in a sitcom show like the F.R.I.E.N.D.S casts. Yes, this boy would always watch the show everytime he needs a laugh.

Nomi slides down the notification bar to see his Drama and Musical Club teacher, Mr Haze just sent him a text on w******p. Nomi immediately got panicked for a second because he barely receives any texts from his teachers.

'What's going on? Did I do something wrong?'

This is the thought his brain will develop everytime if any teachers wants to talk to him. His heart was racing for a bit. He opened up the notification that he received from his teacher.

'Nomi,i need you to join the show.'

Nomi got even more panicked when he read the text.

"WHAT???"

He whispered in a high pitched sound. His heart decides to beat even faster and he feels like all of his organs in his body is shaking which made him shiver for a bit. As that happens, he tried to calm himself down and took a deep breath for a few times that helps a little bit with his panic attacks.

After calming down, he began to type to reply to his teacher in a most respectful way when in reality he wants to send a middle finger emoji to him.

'How could he asked me to join the show in the very last minute???' , he whispered in a very irritated tone.

'what ? why ?', Nomi sent the text that he typed to his teacher.

'James had the nerve to quit in the very last minute because he is not interested with the show??? i was like??? are you f*****g joking with me???'

"WHAT THE ACTUAL f**k JAMES?", Nomi half shouted in his room. To be honest, he would want to scream out loud that the neighbours can hear but he does not want his mother to hear him.

Nomi's blood began to boil thinking about James. James is Nomi's club mate of the Drama and Musical Club at his school. Nomi and James do not really know each other as they never talked although they are in the same club.

'How dare he quit just like that? I don't want to come!', his heart is like throwing a tantrum. The disatisfied feeling in Nomi's very self may make him wants to kill James. Imagine you have to take over your club mate's place for a show and having to memorize a long script when the show is just in five days because he is not interested with the show? Of course you will be in Nomi's shoes right now.

After a while of having anger taken over him for about 60%, he received a text from Mr Haze that kind of cooled him down.

'I told you from the very start nomi,i want you for the show. i can see you can do great. this character is just so suitable for you. ur very talented. i always wanted you for this show but you were too stubborn to join. now in this last minute,who am i going to ask to be in the show. only you can suit the character very well.'

Nomi received another text from Mr Haze.

'I have no hope in James. he never even shows any effort to fit for the character or too memorize the dance steps and scripts. i don't know what to do nomi. i sincerely apologize on behalf of him. i did not expect this coming.' , Mr Haze sent the text and ended the sentence with a regret emoji.

Nomi could not blame Mr Haze for this. The real problem here is James. Yes, it is all James fault for not cooperating for the show. In the same time, Nomi blames himself too for this. He thought if he had listened to Mr Haze from the start, the plan for the show would not be a disaster like this.

Mr Haze did asked Nomi to be in the show from when they started planning for it but Nomi refused to be in it. The reason was because he has a lot of assignments this year which is hard for him to handle. He does not want to have anything bothering him while doing the assignments. He felt like the assignments he got for this year are the worst and he felt like 'culture shock' by it because he has never done any assignments as hard as those before. Sometimes the assignments could give him suicide thoughts because it is just too much for him to handle. The other reason is that, Nomi has lost interest in doing any shows or musical theaters. Plus, his confidence level has declined year by year which makes him not wanting to be apart of the Drama and Musical Club anymore.

Because of feeling sympathy for his teacher, he accepted to help Mr Haze with a heavy heart. Mr Haze felt relieved and quickly gave him the scripts that Nomi has to memorize. Mr Haze thanked him for helping him to replace James and promised to help him as much as he can for the show. He has also informed Nomi that he had bought flight tickets for him so he would not have to worry about having to pay for the ticket. He then finally ended the w******p conversation with Nomi. Nomi could feel his heart dropped as the sound of a heavy bass drop when he received the scripts. He feels so stupid and he could not stop blaming himself for it. He felt a lump in his throat that makes him feel like he wants to cry but he could not afford to do that because of the anger that is building up inside of him. There is a lot negative feelings in Nomi's self that are mixed together. Annoyed, shocked, numbness and feeling like killing someone all in once.

He looked at the script and thought about how to memorize all of this in just a few days. It is hard for Nomi to memorize anything nowadays. His memory strengthness has declined day by day. His memory is not as strong as it used to be. It is hard for him to remember things now. Nomi got tired just by taking a quick scan of the scripts that he decided to take a nap for a while. That way, he could calm himself down and could give some space to his brain to think. His brain really is messing up because there is so much to think about. Plus, he has another History assignment draft to submit to his teacher tomorrow and the thought of having to prepare for going to Los Angeles after school tomorrow really makes him feel exhausted. He finally fell asleep in his room that evening.

Nomi knocked on his mother's door room to tell her that he is going to Los Angeles tomorrow.

"What? But you haven't prepared anything yet?", Nomi's mother, Aleena raised her eyebrows in shocked.

"I know ma, but it's okay. I'll just bring along what I have. You don't need to feel worry. I'm gonna be there with my teacher.", Nomi told his mother in such a calm tone. His face also shows that he is calm when only he knows that there is like a tornado is happening inside of him. He just does not want his mother to be worried about him.

"I wanna go with you.", Nomi's mother told him in a stern tone.

"Ma, you don't have to.", Nomi replied slowly without sounding surprised because he knows his mother very well.

"What if something happens to you there? You don't even prepare enough to go there. Your teacher must be insane for asking you to go to Los Angeles in the very last minute.", Nomi's mother said in an annoyed tone.

"It's not his fault, ma. Someone quit in the last minute and he needs my help to replace him.", Nomi suddenly thinks about James and he could feel his blood boils.

His mother rolled her eyes away from him and crossed her arms after listening to Nomi. "Okay, you can go. But let me come with you. Besides I have a business meeting there with my penpal so I have to attend it.", Nomi's mother stated.

Nomi just nodded along although he is not comfortable with his mother following him. In the same time, he just does not care anymore. He is used to how controlling and over protective his mother is. Nomi used to fight with his mother a lot about this. He does not like when his mother is always over protective over everything he does as he is growing up but his mother would still treat him like he is a five-year-old.

He begins to understand his mother and lets her act that way ever since his sister died in a car crash last year. Nomi's mother became more lonely as his stepfather is not really present as he used to anymore when his sister was alive. She does not really smile anymore. Nomi begins to understand that she is over protective and became more clingy to Nomi because she feels lonely and sad all the time. Nomi is only what his mother has left. And for Nomi, his mother is the only one he has now and always have been. He has never felt love from a father. He never even got a chance to feel a father's love from his stepfather. He never understands why and what did Nomi ever did wrong to him but Nomi just assumes maybe it is because he is not his biological son so that is why his stepfather never treats him like one. Despite all of that, he still feels grateful that he still got his mother's love and attention since the day he was born. His mother is the only one he has now and he loves his mother no matter what.

Nomi came back to his room after talking to his mother about the show. He then turned on his laptop and started to type for completing his assignment that night.

"Oh no! That's horrible! But it's okay, Nomi! Fighting! I know you can do it!", Nomi's tablemate, Mimi felt sympathy for Nomi after he told her about joining the show in last minute.

"I f*****g hate James for this!", Nomi said in an angry tone, feeling irritated thinking about James. James should be glad that he is not in the same class with Nomi or a murder will happen by now.

"Shhh...no no Nomi! Don't say that. You can do this! You are very talented! I wish I can come but I have no money to go to LA to see you...", Mimi felt disappointed that she could not come along to see Nomi. She made a pouty face to him.

"Don't worry. You're gonna do great! Want some KitKat?", Kiki who is also Nomi's tablemate that sat beside him lend him a bar of KitKat chocolate and rubs his back to comfort him.

Nomi looked at her and smiled. He took the chocolate from her hand and eats it.

"Take a break, have a KitKat.", Frank, who is also Nomi's tablemate made a joke by imitating the KitKat chocolate advertisement on television. Mimi and Kiki laughed along except for Nomi who just choosed to smile while chewing the chocolate. He is not in a mood to laugh because he feels so tired at the moment. He could feel his chest hurts and his head feels dizzy from the lack of sleep he had from the night before. He feels like he wants to sleep for a month straight as he was so busy hustling to complete his History assignment draft until 3 a.m last night and had to wake up around 6 a.m for school this morning. It was a struggle.

Nomi's Economics teacher came in and the class starts. Nomi quickly eats his chocolate and starts to force himself to get ready for the class as he really hates Economics or preparing to sleep in the class as he always does.

As Nomi and Mimi head towards to their class after eating at the canteen, they ran into James who walks past them. Nomi started to feel a flame of fire lightning up inside him so he decided to ignore him but James stopped him for a chat.

"Hey, Najmi. I heard you are going to replace me for the show. I'm sorry, man. Goodluck anyways. You're gonna do great.", James felt really bad for Nomi that he tried to apologize.

'How brave you are to talk to me right now. If I were you, I would have hide somewhere.' , Nomi's heart spoke.

Nomi stared sharply at James right into his eyes for a moment. He can tell he is just acting kind in front of him. The way Nomi stared at James sharply with his thick eyebrows without a blink made James realized at how Nomi stared at him and starting to feel a little scared. He swallowed his saliva and tried to understand why is Nomi staring at him like that. James widened his eyes in fear and pouts.

"Are-are you okay, Najmi? Are you mad at me or something? I'm sorry bro.", James asked in concern.

Nomi's lips then cracked a fake smile on his face, kind of a devillish smile that made James started to shiver a bit. His inner self felt more irritated when James asked him that question. He thought that James just wanted to act innocent infront of him. Mimi who was standing beside Nomi raised her eyebrows a little bit in a worried feeling.

"It's okay. I'm fine with that.", Nomi said in the softest tone but he is still with that smile on his face.

Again, James swallowed his saliva. "Are-are you sure?", James asked in fear.

"Yes.", Nomi replied with the same smile he had and straightly walked away from James without a word. Mimi quickly followed Nomi.

James dropped his jaw a little as he felt like he could not believe that Nomi would act like that to him because Nomi has always been a quite boy that he does not really talk to people. James does feel really bad for Nomi.

"Are you okay, Nomi? Why did you stared at James like that?", Mimi asked as they walked into their class.

"That's just how my face looks like.", Nomi said simply without looking at her.

"Woah, you look like a psycho murder looking at him like that hahaha!", Mimi laughed a little.

"I would. If I had a knife with me, I'd stab it into his d**k. Deeply.", Nomi said in a slow tone then takes his seat in his class.

"Nomi, don't talk like that! It's not nice. There's a reason why all of this happens. You need to be patient and accept that. God knows you are strong enough to handle this.", Mimi held Nomi's hand with a smile on her face.

Nomi looked at her and smiled. "I'm sorry, Mimi. I'm just frustrated. There's too much s**t in my mind right now. I have all these mindfucking assignments and now I have to f*****g memorize all these scripts?", Nomi explained with tears almost coming out of his eyes but he tries his best to control it and quickly wipe the tears with his shirt's sleeves so he won't be making any scenes there. Mimi could hear Nomi's voice cracked a little while talking which made her felt sad for him.

"I know that. I believe you can do well. You are great! Proof to everyone that you can do this! Go Nomi! Fighting!", Mimi acted like cheerleader to Nomi. Nomi smiled a little bit seeing her acted that way. He thought how cute and sweet she really is. They begin to prepare for the next class.

Nomi puts his bagpack into Mr Haze's car as they are about to head to the airport. He suddenly got a call from his mother. He picked up the phone to hear his mother nags at him.

"You know, you don't have to follow your teacher you can just follow me to the airport. I'm going there too.", his mother told Nomi in a rushing tone.

"Ma, it's fine. I'll just follow Mr Haze. I'll see you at the airport. Don't worry. I'm gonna be fine.", Nomi tried to calm his mother down.

"Okay. Call me when you get there.", his mother ended the conversation.

"Is that your mother?", Mr Haze asked with a smirk while starting his car.

"Um..yeah.", Nomi sighs and put his hand to his head, feeling exhausted.

"She sounded worried. Is everything okay?", Mr Haze asked in concern.

"Yeah. Don't worry about it. She's always like that. Is it okay if she wants to come along?", Nomi asked Mr Haze.

"Yeah, of course. I wouldn't mind. Besides the show is important. It's important to have your mother supporting you.", Mr Haze calmly told Nomi with a smile on his face which calms him down too. Nomi smiled to Mr Haze and looked down.

Nomi's phone suddenly beeps. He checks to see Mimi texted him.

'Nomiiiiii goodluck for the show! Fighting! I'm sad that I couldn't come with you...:('

Nomi smiles when he read the message. Nomi began to type to Mimi.

'aww it's okay. thank you mimi. update me if there's any homework,okay ? :)' , Nomi sent the text.

'Okayyy :)' , Mimi replied. Nomi did not reply but just smiling at the text.

"What are you smiling at?", Mr Haze interrupted.

"Nah..just Mimi wishing me a goodluck.", Nomi said with a smile.

"Wow I didn't know you guys are close.", Mr Haze said.

"Not really haha. She's just always being supportive to her friends.", Nomi explained as he just sat with Mimi in the class for about two weeks now.

Mr Haze does not say anything but gave Nomi a smirk and just continue driving. The destination to the airport took about 30 minutes from Nomi's school. They finally arrived at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Nomi took his belongings from Mr Haze's car. He already can see his mother waiting for him at the airport in a floral blue and pinkish dress, a white scarf around her head, wears a big pair of sunglasses and holds a Louis Vuitton handbag in her hand. She seems to look worried. Nomi could tell his mother is feeling annoyed and frowny as she keeps walking around and could not stop looking at her watch.

"You go have your lunch first or do anything you want now and come to me by 3pm, okay? I have to go buy some things for myself.", Mr Haze told Nomi. Nomi agreed and just nodded along. They separated so Nomi came to his mother who have been waiting for him with that grumpy face.

"What took you so long? It's almost 3pm!", Nomi's mother began to nag at him.

"I just got out of school, ma. Chill.", Nomi started to feel uncomfortable with how his mother is acting but he does not want to show it to her. Plus, the hot wheather for the day made Nomi feeling annoyed with everything and his head has been dizzy all day from the lack of sleep and now it feels painful for him but he is trying his best to stay calm.

"Did you buy your ticket?", Nomi asked his mother.

"Yeah. I did. And here's your passport. How are you going to other countries without a passport?", Mrs Aleena took out Nomi's passport and raised her eyebrows to him. She knows how forgetful her son could be everytime when he is in a rush.

"Oh yeah! My passport! Thanks mama!", Nomi was shocked that he actually forgot about his passport. He did not remember at all about how important it is to bring your passport along when you are going to other countries. He grabbed his passport from his mother's hand and put it into his pocket.

Nomi bought a sandwich from the airport as he has not have his lunch yet. While waiting for the flight's arrival he sat down and ate his sandwich. Mrs Aleena sat down beside him too.

"Why don't you buy a plate of rice or anything suitable for you to eat now? Do you think that sandwich is going to make you full?", she said with concern.

"I don't have time,ma. It's almost three.", Nomi said. His mother just responded with a sigh.

Nomi threw away the sandwich's plastic into the rubbish can after he is done eating and rushed to the toilet as he is worried about the flight's arrival. While washing his hands in toilet, he heard an announcement at the airport that the 3 p.m's flight has arrived. Nomi quickly got out of the toilet and ran to look for Mr Haze. He suddenly felt anxious and worried if he misses the plane. He begins to overthink about everything. He could feel his stomach churns. He tried to take a few deep breaths. His mother saw him and walked up to him to give Nomi his bagpack.

"Mama, where's my teacher?", Nomi asked his mother in worry.

"I saw him taking his lunch. Now I don't know where he is. It's okay we just get to the plane okay?", Mrs Aleena tries to calm his son down.

Nomi took his phone out of his pocket and tried to call Mr Haze. As he was busy finding Mr Haze's name in his contacts' list, Mr Haze called Nomi's name from his back.

"Nomi!"

Nomi turned around to see his teacher is waving his hand at him. Nomi's plan to call Mr Haze is cancelled as he already found Mr Haze. Nomi and his mother walked up to him. Mr Haze smiled and bowed down a little to Nomi's mother as to give respect to her. He then turned to Nomi.

"Are you ready?", Mr Haze asked with a hope in his eyes. Nomi nodded with a smile.

"Is it okay if I come with him?", Mrs Aleena interrupted.

"Yes. You are more than welcome, ma'am.", Mr Haze said.

They got into the plane. Nomi sat with Mr Haze but Mrs Aleena had to sit at other seat separated from her son as she bought the tickets later than Mr Haze did. Nomi looked to the window and enjoyed the scenery of the beautiful high sky. He felt calm seeing the white cotton-like clouds. He is thinking how the show would be like and who will he meet there. He is hoping everything will go well there and hopes that he could do the best for the show eventhough he is not confident enough. He felt sleepy looking at the sky. It makes him feel like he is in another world. It feels like a fantasy. The seat that he sat on in the plane felt so soft that he began to sleep comfortably.
