Annie had put this off for about as long as humanly possible. While they'd walked around town almost twice, it was a playground where they finally ended up. Sitting side by side on a set of swings, Annie stared down into the woodchips beneath her feet and let out a small sigh. She liked that they could be like this. She liked having a boyfriend that was good to her and she worried about what would happen if that changed. Would he treat her differently? Would he stop being that boyfriend to her? She was looking to those wood chips as if they would have some kind of answer to her but in the end, there was just the swings and her. It was her choice, and they would be her repercussions. It was the light bump that Conner gave her that snapped her focus from the thoughts swirling in her head.
