It was nice getting to celebrate our victory with everybody. Although, I would have liked to have seen Dane there, I couldn't blame him for not wanting to leave the company of his mate. The two of them went through a lot between Dane getting injured and Tamara exhausting herself while healing him.
Knowing how close Dane came to death made me appreciate the time I had to spend with my mate. Snow was my whole world now, and I couldn't fathom the thought of anything happening to either of us. I didn't want to lose her, and I didn't want her to experience the pain of losing me.
As soon as we entered our bedroom, I snaked an arm around Snow's waist and pulled her against me, then I caressed her cheek and gazed into her beautiful brown eyes, as I lovingly murmured,
