Yuri felt someone gently wipe the side of his neck when he woke and found Rosetta staring down at him. His heart suddenly somersaulted inside his chest. Her nearness and having her in the same bed sent a chaotic alarm in his brain, as though he could literally see and hear the blaring red lights.
He was feeling anxious but he gulped it down, trying to calm down on his own, without her noticing his fear. Doing something about it was better than to make her feel worried and rejected. And maybe something else he might not know about.
