Edgar arrived at the chapel to pick up Rosetta and her brother Rohan early the next morning.
Rosetta was so tired for not having slept a wink while at the wake. If she could just convince herself to sleep during the day, maybe she could. And she would try. She did feel a bit dizzy. Rohan, on the other hand, was able to sleep a few hours in a corner despite the noise of the mourners that played cards. Gambling was not new whenever people were at wakes. It was one way to keep themselves awake.
She and Yuri exchanged text messages when she got home with Rohan. He said he would come over to keep her safe while she sleeps. She laughed at his cheesiness, but it turned out he was serious. She was already in bed when she heard the car stop in front of their house.
