Emily stared at the stranger thinking of what to do. He looked and sounded so sincere that it was almost impossible to believe someone like him was capable of hurting his sister.
"I can't believe I almost believed you."
"You think I'm lying?"
"What difference does it make even though you are telling the truth? You should know that anything based on a lie cannot last forever."
"I didn't lie to Melissa. I just didn't say anything to her. The matter never came up for discussion."
"So you purposely hid something so important? Do you know how crushed she is?"
