Shift -Jesse

I have been living in this pack for the last 5 years. The warrior couple I call my parents now, have been good to me. Their names are Sam and Lisa Maxwell. They have twin sons that are 2 years older than me. They have been good protective brothers. This family has shared their life and love with me. I have training since I was 8 to be a warrior. I love training but I also love school. I seem to be very bright and the teachers keep putting me in AP classes already. Today, I am walking from school. I usually take the trail behind our house to go home. My brothers are in the middle school so they don’t get until much later.

This day I am walking and I am feeling a little weird. My head is hurting and then my back starts to hurt. I am walking and then I dropped down to all fours because the pain is incredible. Then I feel my arms and legs are hurting. The rest of body starts to shake and I hear bones breaking and I am in so much pain I scream out. And then the pain is just gone! I look down and see paws. White paws that lead up to a white fur chest. I look back and see a white fur back!! I have shifted to my wolf.

“Hey there! I am Emerald your wolf”. I hear this voice but realize the voice is in my head! “My wolf? Why did I shift so early?”

My wolf laughs and says “ You are special and you needed to shift today. But no one must know you shifted. Not even your parents. You need to shift back but before we do that, let’s go the pond so we can see ourselves”

I said “OK, let’s go!” I ran until we got to the pond. I walked over and put head done to look. What I see it takes my breath away! I am all white and just under my ear I see a crescent moon. “Emerald, what does the moon mean?” She smiles in my mind! “That is our birthmark from the Goddess, that tells us we are special”.

Wow! I am in shock! But what makes me special? I wonder. Emerald says “we will know when we are 18. But for now I will hide your scent so no one knows you have a wolf yet.”

We go and head back until I find some clothes in one of the tree slots so I can shift back. I also need to find my book bag and get home.
