The_Well:The last time I saw my grandmother was in 2015.
Her mind was going. Without anyone knowing, she had moved back to Missouri, to the old farmhouse that had been in our fam off and on since the 1800s. She wanted to be back home. What was left of it, anyway.
Family visited from all over the place, Chicago, Sacramento, New Orleans, St. Louis, but everybody had a life they had to get back to but me. At least a life that wasn’t entirely online. So I stayed with her. For about a year. But that was just before The Book of Briars showed up. I’d found Ascender, Endri, and Itsuki, and I’d recruited Eaves the year before.
