Blakes Point of View
Bang! The sound of the gun firing echoed all around me. I looked around in alarm to see where it had hit! I felt my smile slip off of my face to be replaced with a look of abject terror. Matias had been aiming right at me, and my crazy blond-haired Goddess had run straight towards the bullet knowing that it would kill me. And now she was lying on the sand bleeding.
"Oh Jesus Christ Piper!" I yelled in horror as I ran the few meters that separated us. I dived onto my knees and tugged off my shirt so that I could use it to stop the blood flow, but it was as useless as putting a bandaid over the wound. The blood was literally pumping out of her stomach.
I don't think I've ever been more terrified in my entire life.
